Job Description Job Title: Aircraft Technician Repair – Podding Technician Job Description This role focuses on supporting the Business Aviation Integrated Power Plant System podding operation and assisting the production operation for business aircraft. You will assemble engines with power plant and nacelle components into integrated power plant systems, perform intermediate troubleshooting to identify defects, and work with technical data and regulatory documentation. The position requires the ability to pass an FAA-required eye exam and to safely lift engine components weighing up to approximately 50 pounds. Responsibilities • Follow work scope instructions as directed by operations and engineering teams to complete podding and assembly tasks accurately and on time., • Assemble engines with power plant and nacelle components to build integrated power plant systems in accordance with technical specifications and quality standards., • Use intermediate troubleshooting logic to identify defects in components or parts and take appropriate corrective actions or escalate issues as needed., • Access and use engine data materials such as aircraft maintenance manuals, engine maintenance manuals, and related technical publications., • Understand, interpret, and apply service bulletins, FAA advisory directives, and technical variances when applicable to the work being performed., • Perform aviation engine assembly, aircraft maintenance, and repair tasks using appropriate hand tools and equipment., • Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to guide assembly and maintenance activities., • Use basic Excel and Word to document work, track tasks, and communicate status or findings as required., • Collaborate closely with a small, team-oriented group to support daily production and podding operations., • Work occasional evening shifts and required overtime based on operational needs., • High school diploma or equivalent with 2+ years of aircraft maintenance, repair, and/or overhaul experience, OR an associate degree with 1+ years of aircraft maintenance, repair, and/or overhaul experience., • Experience with aviation engine assembly and aircraft maintenance in a production or repair environment., • Hands-on experience as an aircraft technician working with airframe, engine, and aircraft systems., • Ability to read, understand, and apply information from aircraft and engine maintenance manuals and related technical data., • Ability to interpret and work from blueprints, service bulletins, and FAA advisory directives., • Proficiency using common hand tools and equipment for aircraft and engine assembly and repair., • Basic skills in Microsoft Excel and Word for documentation and communication., • Ability to pass an FAA-required eye exam., • Ability to lift engine components weighing up to approximately 50 pounds safely and repeatedly as needed., • Willingness and ability to work occasional evening shifts and required overtime., • Experience in aviation maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) environments., • Familiarity with integrated power plant systems and nacelle components., • Comfort working with FAA regulations, service bulletins, and technical variances., • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety in all tasks., • Good communication skills to coordinate with operations, engineering, and team members. You will work in a clean, climate-controlled facility with a strong family-like atmosphere and a supportive, team-oriented culture. The role offers a stable first-shift schedule and a repetitive, well-defined scope of work that allows you to build deep expertise in podding and engine assembly. Tools are provided, and the position begins on a contract basis with the opportunity to transition to a direct role, offering long-term career potential and growth. Work Environment The work takes place in an extremely clean, climate-controlled production and maintenance facility focused on business aviation power plant systems. You will use company-provided tools, hand tools, and standard aircraft maintenance equipment while working with technical data, maintenance manuals, and basic office software such as Excel and Word. The standard schedule is first shift, Monday through Thursday, from 6:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with the possibility of transitioning to five eight-hour shifts in the future. Occasional evening shifts and overtime may be required based on operational demands. The environment is highly team-oriented, with a small group that emphasizes collaboration, safety, and consistent work practices. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Savannah, GA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $32.00/hr.
