OVERVIEW: Our client, one of the largest Energy companies in the US providing a wide range of Energy-related products and services to its customers, seeks an accomplished Paralegal. ** TITLE: Paralegal ** LOCATION: Hybrid Role at 4 Irving Place, New York, NY 10003 ** DURATION: 6-month contract with extensions based on performance *** WORK SCHEDULE: • First 2–3 months: Fully onsite (training), • After training: Hybrid (minimum 3 days onsite), • Monday – Friday | 8:30 AM start Pay Rate: $35.00/hr. - $40.00/hr. (depending upon experience) JOB SUMMARY: Paralegal supports attorneys in litigation matters by preparing legal documents, managing discovery processes, maintaining case files, and coordinating responses to legal requests. This role requires strong experience in insurance defense litigation and familiarity with New York legal practices and procedures. JOB DESCRIPTION: • Assist attorneys in preparing litigation matters, including drafting pleadings and discovery responses., • Handle high-volume document production and coordinate timely preparation of materials., • Maintain and organize case files and legal documentation., • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to gather and provide documents for discovery requests., • Analyze documents and catalog exhibits., • Perform legal research and cite-check briefs., • Prepare and manage required legal documents., • Monitor case progress and manage litigation-related tasks., • Initiate and maintain legal holds using appropriate systems., • Track court deadlines and ensure compliance with CPLR and procedural rules., • Maintain electronic document repositories and review platforms., • Perform e-filing on PACER and NYSCEF., • Support additional legal and administrative tasks as required.
