Job DescriptionGA Family Services - Family Resource Coordinator SupervisorReports To: Director of Foster Care Position Status: Full-Time FLSA Status: Exempt Salary Range: Begins at $62,500 annually, based on experience and credentials Position Schedule: Primarily Monday through Friday, standard business hours. Schedule flexibility is required to meet program needs, including occasional evenings for foster parent training, recruitment events, and supervisory support. Position Summary: GA Family Services is seeking a Family Resource Coordinator Supervisor to lead and support our Family Resource Coordinator (FRC) team in recruiting, training, and supporting therapeutic foster families. This role oversees the development and maintenance of therapeutic foster homes and kinship placements, ensuring compliance with New York State Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS) regulations while promoting a family-driven, youth-guided, and trauma-informed approach to care. The Supervisor also leads foster parent recruitment initiatives, marketing efforts, and community outreach to expand foster care resources and strengthen the program’s impact across our service areas. This position plays a key leadership role in ensuring youth in foster care experience safety, permanency, and well-being through strong foster family partnerships and well-supported staff. Please note, although this position is based out of our Cheektowaga office location, occasional travel to our Jamestown office is required. Qualifications: • Required, • MSW with at least 2 years of experience in child welfare or foster care, particularly in homefinding, • Valid NYS Driver’s License, • Preferred, • Experience working with adolescents in therapeutic settings, • Knowledge of foster care programming and homefinding practices, • Considerations May Be Given To, • Candidates with a LMSW, LMHC, or other Master’s degree with foster care/child welfare experience, • Candidates with a Bachelor’s degree (BSW/BA) and 5+ years of experience in child welfare or foster care, including homefinding Job Duties: • Provide supervision, coaching, and support to Family Resource Coordinators across agency locations., • Conduct regular supervision meetings and ensure staff performance meets program expectations., • Review and approve foster home studies and staff documentation for quality and OCFS compliance., • Support staff in developing and maintaining trauma-informed therapeutic foster homes., • Oversee foster home referrals, matching, and placement planning., • Participate in hiring, onboarding, and training of foster care staff., • Provide guidance in crisis situations and serve as supervisory support during scheduled work hours or as assigned., • Lead foster parent recruitment efforts, outreach events, and community engagement initiatives., • Coordinate foster parent training schedules and co-facilitate NTDC training., • Facilitate foster parent meetings and ongoing engagement activities., • Ensure program compliance with OCFS, DSS, and court requirements., • Collaborate with internal teams and community partners to support program growth and operations.
