Job Description Eurofins Environment Testing is seeking a Project Manager Group Lead to join our team in Folsom, CA! The Project Manager Group Lead (PMGL)oversees the Project Management (Client Services) team and is responsible for ensuring a high level of client service and operational effectiveness. This role supervises Project Management staff, manages team productivity, and ensures that client deliverables are completed accurately and on time. The PMGL also oversees accounts receivable activities, including billing, collections, and issue resolution, ensuring alignment with facility revenue and cash flow objectives. In addition to operational oversight, the PMGL develops and implements strategies to support growth within house accounts while maintaining strong client relationships. The role is also responsible for training Project Management staff and ensuring compliance with required training and ongoing development programs. The PMGL ensures the timely and accurate completion of key activities, including login review, reporting, and invoicing performed by the Project Management team. If the role includes direct project management responsibilities, a clear allocation of time dedicated to project work should be defined. The PMGL also leads the evaluation and preparation of bids and proposals for new business opportunities and oversees proposal activity for the existing client base. This requires close coordination with operations, sales, and leadership teams to ensure proposals are competitive, accurate, and aligned with operational capabilities. Operating with limited direction, the PMGL leads the day-to-day operations of the Project Management team, ensuring consistent delivery of exceptional client service. The role partners closely with senior leadership to implement structure, metrics, and performance measures that support effective communication, prioritization, accountability, and the achievement of corporate and facility goals. The PMGL is accountable for managing client relationships from project setup through reporting, billing, and final invoice collection. This includes ensuring projects are properly scoped, executed, and delivered while maintaining strong communication with clients and internal teams. This position consistently acts in the best interest of Eurofins Environment Testing America, demonstrating professionalism, integrity, and sound judgment in all interactions. The PMGL fosters a Client First culture, reinforcing best-in-class service standards while supporting business growth through proactive client engagement and cross-functional collaboration. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Laboratory’s primary client representative., • Establishes Project Management department annual goals., • Establishes Project Management Department policies and procedures., • Oversees Project Managers and provides business guidance., • Heads projects start up meetings to ensure project objectives are successfully met and hands off project details to assigned Project Manager(s)., • Establishes and leads regular Project Management department/group meetings., • Facilitates client conflict resolution when issues are raised to a level beyond the Project Management staff., • Works closely with the Quality Assurance Manager to evaluate and establish project requirements., • Ensure client complaints are handled professionally and resolved in a timely manner., • Trains Project Managers., • Assigns Project Managers to clients/projects., • Monitors Project Management workload and reassigns Project Managers to clients or redirects resources to assist during work overloads and absences., • Manages sample capacity based on forecast detail., • Manages a minimal list of projects/programs for key client accounts., • Works with Project Management and operations management to prioritize report production schedules to maximize on time report delivery and minimize the impact of reporting delays., • Works closely with laboratory management in laboratory capacity loading decisions., • Monitors current accounts receivable status by Project Manager and client. Assigns action items to aging accounts., • Provides general sales support to Account Executives for business development activities started in the field., • Prepares proposals for new business opportunities., • Performs sales activities for house accounts and other clients as needed., • Assigns the responsibility for incoming cold calls and processing requests., • Sustains growth of the business to maximize market share, profitability, competitive advantage and capacity utilization through the following activities:, • Identifies and manages client accounts and business opportunities, • Acquires new accounts by following up on leads, negotiating contracts, and closing sales, • Clearly communicates our services to new and existing clients, • Communicates the clients’ needs to the internal organization and fulfills the role of client advocate., • Other duties as needed.Qualifications Basic Minimum Qualifications: • BS/BA in Chemistry/Sciences (Business Management, or equivalent experience may substitute for a degree), • Minimum of 3 years in sales or customer service role; minimum of 2 years management and leadership experience., • Working knowledge of Toxic Organic analytical methods and EPA air testing methods, along with familiarity with air sampling products and technologies., • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship, • Business principles, • Method application for frequently requested methods, • Understanding of client markets, • Experience with financial statements and measures, • Strong LIMS understanding and/or computer background to understand LIMS applications, • Strong management skills, • Effective written and verbal communication skills, • Conflict resolution skills, • Ability to handle multiple details and changing priorities, • Ability to manage personnel issues and conflicts, • Identify staff strengths and weaknesses to optimize resources, • Able to work independently and in a team environment Additional Information Compensation Range: $90,000 - $95,000 per year depending on experience and qualifications. Position is full-time, Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm or work hours as needed.
