The Aerospace Sourcing Commodity Specialist III manages pricing, sourcing, part setup and all aspects of data within assigned commodity. Completes assigned RFQ and implementation tasks within commodity. Acts as a liaison between PPG and suppliers to ensure that PPG is getting the most favorable pricing and lead-times. Responsible for cost savings, competitive bids and strategic sourcing initiatives. This position can reside in the following locations: Atlanta, GA, Los Angeles, CA, Oak Creek, WI, Pittsburgh, PA, Seattle, WA, and Canada. PPG runs on a hybrid model, Monday thru Thursday in the office with Friday being an optional day to work remotely. This position will report to Aerospace Procurement Sourcing Manager. • Works with the project leads to complete implementation and RFQ sourcing activities for assigned commodity on time and accurately., • Manages all aspects of the relationship with commodity suppliers including competitive bids, negotiations, improvement, and one-off sourcing requests., • Maintains commodity pricing tables in ERP system., • Sources materials in support of aerospace ASC/CMS., • Supports the CMS platform in requirements related to assigned commodity/manufacturers., • Responsible for annual cost savings goals through strategic initiatives. Implement strategies which support plant, group and corporate metrics with specific annual cost savings goals., • Processes new part requests and manages part master data for assigned commodity within HMM for all implementations and individual new part requests., • Selects suppliers per customer requirements that deliver the best value and most secure supply chain for the customers and PPG., • Executes strategic sourcing decisions within commodity., • Interfaces between the suppliers in the country/region of activity and group globally., • Supports the business in developing alternate sources in the event of supply chain disruptions., • Utilizes software tools to conduct competitive bids., • Participates in additional corporate projects and teams as required., • Prefer 2+ years of direct procurement, supply chain or sourcing experience in a large corporate setting., • U.S. Citizens, Green Card holders, and political asylees or refugees are eligible to apply., • Advanced Excel., • Data analytics., • Experience using supply chain management software and tools, including QAD, Oracle, ePro, etc., • Good project management and communication skills., • Understanding of information requirements for importing and exporting materials globally., • Fluency in English in writing and speaking., • Knowledge of IT tools such as Smartsheets, Jaegger, SAP, PowerBI, SSP, Qstrat, MS Office (Excel, Access), HMM UX, ePro, SharePoint and Intranet is a plus., • Chemicals sourcing experience a plus., • Aerospace experience a plus.
