Job DescriptionOperations Manager Employment Type: Full-time Department: Operations Reports to: COO/VP of Operations Location: Onsite in Sonoma County Position Overview We are a fast-growing technology company seeking a strategic Operations Manager to coordinate and optimize business operations across our organization. This role focuses on cross-functional collaboration, process improvement, and operational efficiency to support our company's growth and strategic objectives. The successful candidate will serve as a key liaison between departments, streamline workflows, and drive operational excellence throughout the organization. Key ResponsibilitiesCross-Functional Coordination • Coordinate operations across multiple departments including Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Finance, HR, and Supply Chain, • Facilitate communication and collaboration between teams to ensure alignment on company objectives, • Manage cross-departmental projects and initiatives from conception through implementation, • Serve as primary point of contact for operational escalations and issue resolutionProcess Optimization & Management, • Analyze current business processes and identify opportunities for improvement and automation, • Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency and efficiency, • Lead process mapping initiatives and workflow optimization projects, • Monitor key operational metrics and KPIs to track performance and identify trendsProject Management & Strategic Initiatives, • Oversee strategic business initiatives and ensure timely execution of company objectives, • Coordinate new product launches, system implementations, and organizational changes, • Manage project timelines, resources, and deliverables across multiple concurrent initiatives, • Prepare executive-level reports on operational performance and project statusSystems & Technology Coordination, • Collaborate with IT teams on system integrations, upgrades, and technology implementations, • Oversee ERP system optimization and business process automation initiatives, • Ensure data integrity and accuracy across operational systems, • Support digital transformation efforts and technology adoption across the organizationVendor & Partner Management, • Manage relationships with key vendors, suppliers, and external partners, • Coordinate procurement processes and contract negotiations in collaboration with relevant departments, • Oversee vendor performance monitoring and relationship optimization, • Ensure compliance with vendor agreements and service level requirementsCompliance & Risk Management, • Ensure operational compliance with industry regulations, company policies, and legal requirements, • Develop and maintain risk assessment processes and mitigation strategies, • Coordinate audit preparations and compliance reporting, • Implement internal controls and governance frameworksRequired QualificationsEducation & Experience, • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Engineering, or related field, • 5+ years of progressive operations experience in high-tech or technology-focused environments, • Proven experience in cross-functional coordination and project management, • Experience with process improvement methodologies and business optimizationTechnical Skills, • Strong proficiency with ERP systems, project management tools, and business intelligence platforms, • Experience with process mapping software and workflow optimization tools, • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, • Familiarity with business process automation and digital transformation conceptsCore Competencies, • Excellent project management skills with ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously, • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with data-driven decision-making approach, • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills for cross-departmental collaboration, • Ability to work in fast-paced, dynamic environments with changing prioritiesLeadership & Management, • Experience leading cross-functional teams and matrix management situations, • Proven ability to influence without direct authority and build consensus, • Strong presentation skills for executive-level reporting and stakeholder communication, • Change management experience with ability to drive organizational transformationPreferred Qualifications, • Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) or Operations Management, • Professional certifications: PMP, Lean Six Sigma, APICS, or equivalent process improvement credentials, • Experience in high-growth technology companies or startup environments, • Background in SaaS, software development, or technology product companiesKey Performance Indicators, • Cross-departmental project completion rates and timeline adherence, • Process efficiency improvements and cost reduction achievements, • Employee satisfaction scores related to operational support and processes, • System uptime and operational metric improvements, • Vendor performance and cost optimization resultsWhat We OfferCompensation & Benefits, • Competitive salary range: $100,000 - $120,000 annually (based on experience), • Performance-based annual bonus opportunity, • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insuranceWork Environment, • Collaborative, innovation-driven culture with direct impact on company success, • Modern office space with cutting-edge technology and tools, • Cross-functional exposure and broad business experience opportunities
