Job Description Job Summary: The Project Specialist I supports the development and delivery of commercial and residential telecommunications plans. This role focuses on producing accurate project documentation, maintaining organized records, and completing assigned tasks within established workflows. The Project Specialist I contributes to high-quality project execution by following standards, communicating effectively, and asking clarifying questions to ensure work accuracy. Core Responsibilities: Plan Creation & Technical Work * Develop commercial and residential telecommunications plans using AutoCAD or comparable drafting software. * Build complete plans for individual areas or larger project zones independently or as part of a team. * Update existing plans based on feedback, standard revisions, design changes, or corrective actions. Documentation & Administrative Support * Prepare, complete, and file required paperwork to support active construction and engineering projects. * Maintain thorough and organized project records for accuracy and compliance. * Follow established workflows for plan submissions, revisions, and file management. Collaboration & Workflow * Communicate clearly and professionally with peers, trainers, leadership, and clients. * Work within assigned processes and report any concerns, inconsistencies, or improvement opportunities to Supervisors or Managers. * Craft commercial and residential telecommunication plans using programs such as AutoCAD or related software. * Preparing and filing the necessary paperwork to aid in the construction of projects. * Working independently or in teams to build complete plans for larger areas. * Maintaining project records. * Updating plans based on feedback, standard changes, or revisions. Critical Thinking: * Focus: Follows directions, uses pre-defined templates, and applies standard protocols. * Problem-Solving: Identifies issues, but escalates them to higher-level team members. * Judgment: Limited; typically requires review and approval from leads or supervisors. * Example: Updating project schedules based on clear instructions or data provided by others. Quality * Maintains a quality error or discrepancy rate of less than 10% of total work. * Asks frequent, relevant questions to achieve near-perfect accuracy within the provided scope of work. * Ensures plans and documents meet Luck Grove Telecom standards before submission. 5. Professionalism * Maintains a positive, respectful attitude. * Communicates clearly with peers, trainers, leadership, and clients. * Follows company policies, guidelines, and professional standards. * Represents Luck Grove Telecom with integrity and professionalism. Preferred Experience: * Experience using Google Workspace (Google Suites). * Experience using AutoCAD or related drafting/design software. Project Specifications Design: * Knows how to read a perfect checklist and turn it into a design * Ability to accurately translate engineering requirements into detailed designs Equipment, Machines and Software Used: * Computer, QGIS, ARCGIS, Google Earth, Google platform, Project Platforms, other GEO locating platforms/devices. Education: * No education required * Associates or higher in computer science, engineering, or a related field - Preferred Physical and Mental Requirements: * Ability to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, use hands to finger, grasp, push, pull, reach, crouch, bend, kneel, climb, and perform repetitive motions of the hands and/or wrists. * Mental and visual attention required to perform work dealing primarily with preparing and analyzing data and figures, using a computer terminal, and reading. * Keeping track of multiple moving facets with the team, schedule and/or projects at hand. Physical Exertion: * Exerts up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. * Light exertion can involve sitting, walking and/or standing most of the time. * Traveling from floor to floor coordinating with other team members. Environmental Conditions: * Work is performed in an office setting. * Noise from surrounding coworkers Hazards and Safety Precautions: * Hazards: Slips, trips and falls, ergonomic injuries, and occasional lifting. * Safety Precautions: Breaks are encouraged to allow for stretching.
