Position Overview The Technical Product Manager will support derivatives operations by leading the design, enhancement, and delivery of trading and post-trade technology solutions. This role works across business, operations, risk, compliance, finance, engineering, and QA teams to translate derivatives workflow needs into scalable systems, improved processes, and compliant technology capabilities. Mandatory Requirements: • 4+ years of relevant experience as a Product Manager, Product Owner, or Business Analyst within financial services technology., • Strong knowledge of derivatives products, including swaps, futures, options, and forwards., • Strong understanding of the end-to-end derivatives trade lifecycle., • Technical proficiency with SQL and data analysis., • Experience with system integrations, including APIs, messaging, and file-based interfaces., • Experience working in Agile or SDLC delivery environments., • Exposure to roadmap prioritization and cross-functional delivery., • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field., • Fintech and/or derivatives technology experience preferred., • Experience aligning technology solutions with business goals. Key Responsibilities • Partner with trading, operations, risk, finance, compliance, technology, engineering, and QA teams to gather and clarify business and system requirements., • Translate operational and regulatory needs into scalable technical requirements, user stories, workflows, and solution designs., • Analyze the full derivatives trade lifecycle, from trade capture through reporting, to identify process gaps, risks, control issues, and improvement opportunities., • Support the design and delivery of trading and post-trade platform enhancements., • Collaborate with engineering and QA teams to define, validate, test, and deliver technical solutions., • Own data and integration requirements, including source-to-target mappings, APIs, trade feeds, messaging flows, and system interfaces., • Manage backlog priorities and support roadmap alignment across derivatives operations initiatives., • Drive process improvement efforts related to product onboarding, post-trade workflows, reporting, data quality, and compliance requirements., • Help ensure delivered solutions support operational efficiency, system scalability, and business control needs., • Coordinate across stakeholders to keep delivery efforts aligned with business goals and technology standards. Required Qualifications • 4+ years of experience as a Product Manager, Product Owner, Business Analyst, or similar role within financial services technology., • Strong understanding of derivatives instruments, including swaps, futures, options, and forwards., • Experience supporting the derivatives trade lifecycle across front-office, middle-office, or post-trade workflows., • Strong SQL skills and ability to perform data analysis to support requirements, validation, and issue investigation., • Experience with integrations such as APIs, messaging platforms, trade feeds, and file-based interfaces., • Experience working with Agile, SDLC, backlog management, and roadmap prioritization., • Ability to gather requirements from business users and translate them into clear technical specifications., • Experience collaborating with engineering and QA teams through solution delivery and validation., • Strong communication skills for working with technical and non-technical stakeholders., • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field. Preferred Qualifications • Experience with derivatives post-trade workflows across interest rate, credit, foreign exchange, or equity products., • Familiarity with financial messaging or data standards such as FIX, FpML, SWIFT, JSON, or XML., • Experience with data controls, including lineage, reconciliation, exception handling, and data quality monitoring., • Experience owning product features, delivery backlogs, roadmaps, or release priorities., • Exposure to trading, investment, or post-trade platforms such as Aladdin, Calypso, Apex, or comparable systems., • Experience supporting regulatory compliance initiatives within financial technology environments., • Background working with product onboarding, trade reporting, operational risk, or control-focused initiatives.
