The Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for the supervision of all maintenance personnel assigned to them across all three shifts, including safety, quality, efficiency, training and administration of policies associated with those personnel. What you’ll do as a Maintenance Supervisor: • Knowledgeable in all maintenance safety procedures, ensures personnel are properly trained and following approved safety procedures., • Communicates with Operations and Engineering personnel as frequently as necessary to define job status, anticipated completion and actual completion of work., • Possess a thorough understanding of company policies and rules to promptly and fairly handle arising situations., • Ensures all paperwork is completed accurately and completely by work force., • Ability to understand and use CMMS and procurement systems., • Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives., • Provide training to all levels of the organization on the use and practice of improvement processes, procedures and tools, • Focus on business performance that constantly strives to eliminate waste and takes advantage of industry best-practices., • Responsibility assisting in the accuracy and maintaining the storeroom bin levels to assure processes are followed., • Poses no direct threat to the health or safety of himself/herself, of others, or to property. Defined as a significant risk of substantial harm that cannot be eliminated or reduced to an acceptable level by reasonable accommodation., • Requires regular attendance to perform essential element as contained herein between the assigned start and end times for work., • Performs such individual assignments as management may direct., • Establishes and maintains effective work relationships within the department, the Corporation and the community; and maintains the professional competence, knowledge and skill necessary for the satisfactory performance of all assigned responsibilities., • Other duties as assigned We’re looking for a Maintenance Supervisor with: • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact with other departments, associates and outside suppliers as necessary., • Self-directed team player with 3+ years of experience in a continuous improvement driven environment., • Experience coaching and delivering training., • Strong leadership skills with proven ability to facilitate cross-functional teams., • Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation and facilitation skills., • Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects., • Visionary with longer-term focus - able to see the end result., • Exemplary standards of integrity and personal work ethic., • Knowledge of project management principles, practices, techniques, and tools., • Knowledge and ability to work with a variety of persons and organizations having diverse issues, concerns, agendas., • Requires level of hands on experience or education & training that would provide the level of knowledge, skill and ability required to direct a maintenance staff., • Must be capable and willing to work weekends as necessary., • Working knowledge of typical business software (e.g. Windows, MS Word, and Excel)., • Experience with CMMS systems To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies: • Analysis/Decision Making: Uses logic and insight to solve difficult problems and create effective solutions; uncovers hidden problems; is excellent at analysis; looks beyond the obvious and seeks root cause of problems; makes decisions in a timely manner, under tight deadlines and pressure., • Action/Results Oriented: Achieves high level, sustainable performance and results; is bottom-line oriented; steadfastly pushes self and encourages others to grasp ownership for achieving timely, quality, agreed upon results; is highly energetic; not fearful of acting with less than complete data and planning; seizes opportunities and acts upon them; displays a sense of urgency., • Communication: Presents ideas in a style that is clear, fluent and to-the-point; keeps the attention of others; clearly articulates the key points of an issue; takes recipients' perspectives into consideration when communicating; listens to and understands views of others; knows who needs what information and communicates information in a concise, timely and straight forward fashion; not afraid to communicate difficult messages. Physical requirements and working conditions: Our manufacturing Plant is comprised of enclosed office and manufacturing space. This position requires the ability to: • Sitting at workstation approximately 50 percent of work time. Standing and walking approximately 50 percent of work time., • Will be required to work 2 weeks a year on 2nd shift and 2 weeks a year on 3rd shift to determine areas of improvement., • Able to work with the Maintenance Techs to assist in troubleshooting and repair machines when needed to support company goals., • Ability to work overtime or occasionally on weekends with short notice.
