Physician Assistant | Pulmonology Location: Bronx, NY Employer: Lancesoft Inc Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Start Date: ASAP About the Position New York City, NY Employment Type: Full-Time Practice Setting: Outpatient and/or Inpatient Job Description Join a collaborative pulmonology team as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner , supporting the care of patients with chronic and acute respiratory conditions . This role includes diagnostic evaluation, disease management, and procedural support , working closely with pulmonary physicians in a dynamic clinical environment. Key Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive histories and physical exams for pulmonary conditions (asthma, COPD, pulmonary fibrosis, sleep apnea) Order and interpret diagnostic studies (chest imaging, PFTs, ABGs, sleep studies) Manage chronic respiratory diseases in collaboration with supervising physicians ️ Educate patients and families on treatment plans, inhaler techniques, and lifestyle changes Assist with procedures such as thoracentesis, pleural catheter management, and bronchoscopy (based on privileges) Provide inpatient consults, rounding, and discharge planning when applicable Prescribe medications and therapies within scope of practice Participate in care coordination, quality initiatives, and follow-ups Maintain accurate and timely EMR documentation Requirements Education: PA: Master’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program NP: Master’s or Doctorate in Nursing (Adult, Family, or Acute Care) Licensure & Certification: Active state PA or NP license National certification ( NCCPA, AANP, or ANCC ) DEA registration and prescriptive authority ❤️ BLS & ACLS required (PALS preferred for pediatric exposure) Experience: 1–2 years in pulmonology, internal medicine, or critical care preferred New graduates with relevant clinical training are welcome to apply Benefits Education: PA: Master’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program NP: Master’s or Doctorate in Nursing (Adult, Family, or Acute Care) Licensure & Certification: Active state PA or NP license National certification ( NCCPA, AANP, or ANCC ) DEA registration and prescriptive authority ❤️ BLS & ACLS required (PALS preferred for pediatric exposure) Experience: 1–2 years in pulmonology, internal medicine, or critical care preferred New graduates with relevant clinical training are welcome to apply
