This includes preparing and compounding medications in the cleanroom, coordinating refills and deliveries, maintaining accurate medication profiles, communicating with healthcare professionals, and ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations. This position is cross-trained to support both cleanroom and operational workflows, including after-hours and weekend coverage as needed. Reporting Relationship: • Reports to: Pharmacy Technician Supervisor / Assistant Manager, • Supervises: None Responsibilities Include the Following: Compounding Responsibilities: • Prepare the cleanroom and equipment for daily sterile compounding activities., • Compound medications under the direction of a pharmacist., • Monitor and record cleanroom and refrigeration temperatures., • Maintain and clean sterile compounding equipment., • Ensure appropriate inventory levels and assist with stock management in the cleanroom and warehouse., • Dispose of medications in accordance with policy and regulatory guidelines., • Work independently under pharmacist oversight during weekends, holidays, and after hours, as assigned. Operational (Desk) Responsibilities: • Coordinate prescription refills by contacting patients and scheduling timely deliveries., • Request and follow up on lab results from physicians, labs, and home health agencies., • Enter and update patient medication profiles; discharge patients from the system at the end of therapy., • Communicate with doctors, nurses, hospitals, and internal pharmacy staff to support continuity of care., • Process and document triplicate prescriptions and exemptions for controlled substances., • Submit claims and assist with payment collection as needed., • Support onboarding and training of new pharmacy technicians. General Responsibilities: • Represent the pharmacy in a professional and courteous manner., • Report any suspicious, unethical, or non-compliant activity to the Compliance Officer., • Participate in inspections, audits, and performance improvement programs., • Attend in-service training and pursue ongoing professional development., • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and accrediting agency standards., • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
