Job Description Core Responsibilities: • Inspects, installs, repairs, and replaces pipes, fittings, and plumbing fixtures to maintain , gas systems and plumbing systems of the plant. Repairs and maintains piping systems and plumbing fixtures. Inspects all connections and other parts of system for leaks. Replaces defective pipe by cutting, bending, threading, and assembling pipes. Solders, brazes, and caulks leaks, broken pipes, and new installations. Opens clogged drains with plumber’s snake or Vacuum plunger. Replaces washers, stems and seats in leaky valves or taps. Repairs or replaces damaged or defective plumbing fixtures, such as sinks, toilets, showers, and bathtubs and drain pans etc.., • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine the layout of plumbing systems, • Provide field service support for emergency plumbing issues as they arise., • Conduct routine maintenance checks on plumbing systems to identify potential issues after they escalate., • Strong problem-solving/troubleshooting, deep plumbing knowledge, excellent customer service/communication, attention to detail, and time management, • Inspect, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, fixtures, pipes, valves, water heaters, boilers, backflow devices, and drainage., • Diagnose and resolve issues such as leaks, clogs, low pressure, and sewer problems; clear drains and perform necessary demolition, reconstruction, and cleanup., • Install or modify plumbing during renovations and upgrades., • Conduct preventive maintenance, testing, and record-keeping per schedules and manufacturer guidelines., • Ensure compliance with plumbing/building codes, OSHA, and safety standards; inspect backflow and fire suppression components., • Log work orders, track metrics, and report on activities using department software., • Collaborate with team members and contractors; provide technical support as needed., • Perform minor related trade tasks (e.g., patching, painting, cleanup) to complete plumbing assignments., • Attend at least 2-3 professional training sessions annually, including IUOE Local 30 courses., • High school diploma or equivalent required., • Minimum 1 year commercial plumbing maintenance experience; 3 years as journeyman preferred., • Plumbing license/certification preferred (or ability to obtain)., • Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, codes, backflow prevention, and safety regulations., • Familiarity with related building systems and trade tools., • Ability to follow OSHA guidelines, perform physical tasks (lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, work in confined spaces)., • Availability for weekends, holidays, and swing shifts., • Must obtain/maintain New York State Gaming License., • Covered by IUOE Local 30 collective bargaining agreement; new hires must join union., • Maintain required licenses/certifications.
