Job DescriptionShape What Runs the World: Industrial Instrumentation & Controls Electrician Picture your first weeks at our Binghamton Container facility: you start on 1st shift to train alongside seasoned journeyman E/I technicians, then transition to 3rd shift where you keep our operation humming through the night. You’ll split your time between precision instrumentation work and high-energy electrical troubleshooting—owning the health of PLCs, drives, sensors, and power systems that keep our plant moving. Role Snapshot • Compensation: $34.03 per hour, • Schedule: Hourly, Full-Time; 1st shift for training, then 3rd shift, • Location: Binghamton Container, 1240 Conklin Road, Conklin, NY 13748 | 607-775-1550What Your Nights Look Like, • Diagnose, configure, and maintain PLC systems and single-loop controls, • Install, calibrate, and troubleshoot analog and SMART instruments and analyzers, • Repair final control elements: pneumatic/electric valves, solenoids, and SMART valve positioners, • Perform routine and regulatory calibration for boilers and environmental systems, • Maintain and troubleshoot pneumatic and hydraulic systems, • Read/redline loop sheets and P interpret wiring diagrams and electrical schematics, • Service AC/DC drive systems and stand-alone process drives across multiple manufacturers, • Install and maintain sensors and switches (limit, proximity, photoelectric, speed, reflective), • Repair and perform PM on 480v through 13.8kV power distribution switchgear, • Work to NFPA70E standards, with strict attention to arc flash and shock hazard practices, • Tackle additional duties as assigned to support uptime and reliabilityWhat You Bring, • At least 18 years old, • High school diploma/GED or equivalent experience, • Eligible for employment in the US, • 3+ years hands-on experience in instrumentation and electrical systems, • Comfort in an industrial environment (heat, dust, chemicals, noise, heavy machinery, heights, confined spaces—always with proper training/PPE), • Willingness to complete online technical testing, interviews, and a hands-on skills assessment, • Ability to work any/rotating schedule, frequent overtime (sometimes with short notice), weekends, and holidays, • Consistent use of required safety equipmentPreferred, • Associate degree and/or certifications in Industrial Maintenance or related instrumentation/electrical fields, • 5+ years in instrumentation and electrical work, • Experience in an industrial manufacturing settingCore Skills, • Critical thinking and methodical problem solving, • Team collaboration across multi-functional groups, • Dependability, ownership, and follow-through, • Self-motivation, openness to feedback, and drive to earn your next promotion, • Proficiency with mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, 120/208/240/480V systems, electrical repair, • Becoming a trainer/mentor for new team members, • Serving as a safety advocate and leader Eligible for employment in the US Undergo a drug screen for illicit use of drugs as a condition of employment Undergo a job-related health assessment as a condition of employment Submit to periodic drug screens as a condition of employment
