We are hiring for a Bilingual Pediatric Private Duty LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) in the Terrytown area to provide pediatric private duty care. We offer FT/PT hours, flexible schedules! English/Spanish speaking needed! As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you can expect: • 1:1 Patient Care, • Flexibility for true work-life balance, • Opportunities for career growth, • The ability to build trusted nurse-patient relationships., • Provides direct skilled nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and in accordance with the plan of care., • Utilizes the E.V.V. (Electronic Visit Verification) program as applicable. Records clinical and progress notes at the time of the visit to ensure continuity of qualitative patient care in a timely basis., • Prepares equipment and material for use according to the plan of care, practicing appropriate procedure technique, including Administers medications as prescribed by a physician and permitted by law., • Assists with teaching the patient and/or family members regarding the patient care needs and other related problems of the patient at home., • Ensures confidentiality of patient records/information., • Attends team meetings and staff meetings to enhance team communication and coordination of quality services, • Observes, records, and reports (1) signs and symptoms; (2) reactions to treatments and medications; and (3) any change in the patient’s physical or emotional condition in a timely matter to the Registered Nurse and physician as applicable., • Participates in the organization’s Performance Improvement and Compliance programs and adheres to policy’s and procedures., • All other duties assigned. Education Requirements • Must meet educational/experience requirements outlined in the laws of licensure states., • A minimum of one (1) year of acute care experience preferred; previous home care experience preferred., • Must have current LPN licensure in state of practice., • Current driver’s license, vehicle insurance and access to a dependable vehicle or public transportation., • Current CPR certification required. State Specific Requirements • LA: Current LPN Licensure in LA without restrictions. At a minimum, one (1) year of experience working as an LPN., • Ability to relate to and treat acutely ill/chronically ill patients/families and their particular problems., • Must possess strong, patient management, and documentation skills., • Must possess the disposition and personality to work harmoniously with a wide variety of people and all levels of staff, and interact professionally as a member of a multi-disciplinary team., • Must possess a strong commitment to the goals, mission, and philosophy of the organization., • Ability to work flexible hours as required to meet identified patient needs., • Absolute integrity and the use of good judgment to handle the professional and confidential nature of assignments.
