Job DescriptionJob Title: Service Technician Job Description This role focuses on delivering expert troubleshooting, repair, and calibration of products. The Service Technician is responsible for maintaining accurate service records, offering technical support to the dealer network, and participating in engineering evaluations and failure analysis. Additional duties include developing test fixtures, procedures, work instructions, and service manuals. The role also involves generating reports, analyzing data for continuous improvement, and conducting repair training for the dealer network and junior technicians in both virtual and classroom settings. Responsibilities • Troubleshoot, repair, and calibrate all products to ensure optimal performance., • Maintain accurate service records and enter relevant information into the service database., • Provide technical repair support via phone or email to assist the dealer network., • Assist in engineering evaluations, failure analysis, and generate reports with recommendations for improvement., • Develop test fixtures, troubleshooting stations, procedures, work instructions, and service manuals., • Conduct repair training for the dealer network and junior technicians, both virtually and in classroom environments.Essential Skills, • Minimum 3 years’ experience in an electronics repair in a manufacturing/service role., • Associate degree in electronics or related technology, or equivalent military training. Bachelor’s degree preferred., • Familiarity with test equipment, such as multi-meters and oscilloscopes, to diagnose and adjust optical, mechanical, and electronic instruments., • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and ability to work with multifunctional teams., • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills., • Attention to detail., • Knowledge of electronic test equipment., • Strong electronic and mechanical troubleshooting skills., • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Knowledge of software/firmware loading with PCs, including installing and uninstalling drivers for PC hardware and loading Operating System and BIOS., • Salesforce/Arena platforms knowledge is a plus., • Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. with assistance., • Position may require bending, carrying, kneeling, lifting, and walking.Why Work Here? Work Environment The team consists of a small group of 3-4 people focused on quality, working primarily independently. The dress code is casual, including T-shirts, jeans, and closed-toed shoes. The standard shift is from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with some overtime required. The position requires working in both environmentally controlled work areas and outdoor settings, with up to 20% travel. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Olathe, Kansas. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
