About the Role The Associate Manager, Apparel is responsible for supporting all pre-season activities of Special Make Up (SMU) and In-Line set-up. In addition, they will manage the T-shirt program with domestic vendors and the FR programs. Internal cross-functional partners include Product Management, PIA’s, Material Master Data, Purchasing, Planning, Quality, and Logistics teams. External partners include fabric mills, trim suppliers, and garment manufacturers. Responsibilities include a wide range of project support activities utilizing spreadsheets and databases. You’ll Make a Difference By • Conducting preliminary meetings with Production and Material Master teams to align on timing and bandwidth for seasonal setup, • Aligning with Product Mangers on necessary action items prior to setup deadline as dictated by the go-to-market and development calendars, • Auditing setup view in PLM for launch-specific styles, verifying all attributes necessary for SAP setup are correct and complete, • Validating master grid, UPC, and Info Record data in SAP after PLM setup to establish correct vendor and factory allocation, allowing on-time PO issuance, • Supporting manager in updating the SMU Logs, • Updating PLM with final new season purchase order due dates, • Sending out Monthly Replenishment Forecast for Tees, CMT, and additional full package programs to factories, reconfirm purchase order issue dates, and communicate back to planning teams, • Sending out monthly forecasts to mills, trim, and packaging suppliers, • Communicating with factories when needed on the status of receiving their finished goods purchase orders, • Managing monthly calendar dates for T-shirt and special make up programs., • Securing all T-shirt blanks for special make up programs. Reconcile blank order by size against FG purchase orders., • Updating all fabric raw material needs for CMT factory and validating monthly fabric inventory., • Tracking CMT fabric in SAP and with actual shipments from the mills to the factories. Processing fabric invoices and sending to Finance for payment. Notifying fabric mills and Ariat Finance team about short shipments and damaged fabric., • Supporting Manager in ensuring factories are placing long lead-time trim orders (zippers and snaps) on time, • Gathering and preparing quarterly reports of raw material liabilities for review with Manager and internal and external cross-functional partners., • Providing weekly SAP download of production purchase orders to validate UPC accuracy. UPC reports sent to garment manufacturers (suppliers). Problem-solve UPC inaccuracies in product naming conventions., • Supporting the tracking of TOP’s (Top of Production or first of production) each season. Receiving TOP in PLM and inventory. Creating, maintaining, and organizing TOP and storing them., • Other duties as assigned About You • BA/BS in any field, • 2-3 years of relevant work experience, • Strong organizational and time management skills and ability to manage multiple projects, • Strong communication skills, clear and concise with the end result in mind, • Effective time management and the ability to work well in a team environment, • Flexibility to changing priorities, strong critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, • Strong computer skills including Outlook, Excel, and Word, • PLM and SAP experience a plus About Ariat Ariat is an innovative, outdoor global brand with roots in equestrian performance. The salary range for this position is $70,000 - $75,000 per year. The salary is determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data for geographic locations.
