Position Summary We are seeking an enthusiastic and driven Technical Business Development Manager to join our team. This role is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, driving growth and cultivating strong relationships with key stakeholders, in the defense and emerging space industry. Your strategic vision and proactive approach will be essential in expanding our presence and achieving our business goals in this sector. Key Responsibilities • Achieve assigned targets for profitable sales volume and strategic objectives in assigned customers or platforms., • Develop and manage relationships with targeted platforms and their business leaders., • Identify new customers, markets, and platforms beneficial to the strategic plan., • Maintain existing customers engaged through partnership with the program teams., • Communicate status and actions for leads, prospects and customers., • Align the business development pipeline with strategic growth vectors and long-term business objectives., • Maintain a sales forecasting capability to make possible efficient scheduling, provide customer service, controlling costs, provide information for business planning, resource planning and budgeting., • Utilize Salesforce to manage new and existing business opportunities, support forecasting and business planning activities., • Keep well informed on industry changes, participate in organizations directly involved with our prime markets, and continually work to improve sales techniques and sales knowledge., • Translate technical features into mission impact and program value., • Analyze and provide objective, in-depth understanding of customers, competitors and product performance to improve sales performance as well as act as liaison with various internal departments to solve issues as they arise with both customers and program managers., • Trade show participation – including messaging, booth location and demo/display product selection. Requirements: Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities • A self-starter with a hunter mentality and a passion for building a robust sales pipeline., • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills., • Sound negotiation and conflict resolution skills., • Effective time management skills, • Strong familiarity with key A&D/Space Customers and government requirements., • Deep understanding of the Voice of the Customer (VOC) and influences early-stage requirements shaping., • Knowledge of contract vehicles, acquisition lifecycles, and opportunity tracking identifiers., • Proficient in sales forecasting, opportunity management, activity tracking, pipeline management, and reporting dashboards., • Solid understanding of high-reliability systems, parasitic control and traceability for A&D/military-qualified products., • Working knowledge of MIL-PRF, NASA EEE-INST-002, or ECSS-Q-ST standards., • Bachelor's Degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) preferred, • Minimum 5 years’ experience leading customer-facing engagement in applicable market sector., • Proven track record of successfully identifying, pursuing, and closing business opportunities within the A&D/Space sector., • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM (Salesforce, a plus)., • Electromagnetic component products experience a plus. The transfer of U.S. export-controlled articles, technologies, or services (including manufacturing processes) to individuals or entities that do not qualify as “U.S. persons,” as defined by 22 CFR 120.62, is prohibited without prior authorization from the appropriate U.S. government agencies, such as the Department of State’s Directorate of Defense Trade Controls (DDTC). Under 22 CFR 120.62, a “U.S. person” is defined as a lawful permanent resident as per 8 U.S.C. 1101(a)(20), or a protected individual under 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3). It also includes any corporation, business association, partnership, society, trust, or other entity that is incorporated to do business in the United States, as well as governmental entities at the federal, state, or local levels. It does not include foreign persons as defined in § 120.63. To ensure compliance with U.S. export control regulations, candidates for this position are required to undergo an Export Compliance Assessment. As part of this process, candidates may be asked to provide documentation verifying their status as “U.S. persons” or “foreign persons,” in accordance with U.S. regulation, to determine whether prior authorization is required to perform specific job duties related to this position.
