Job DescriptionDescription: The Resident Nurse (RN)/Licensed Professional Nurse (LPN) is responsible for monitoring the health and wellness of the residents, in respect to overseeing health, nutrition and dietary needs, activities of daily living, medication supervision, and assessing safety concerns of the residents. The RN/LPN responsibilities include, but are not limited to; overall well-being of the residents; communication with all resident support services, physicians, health care agencies, and families; quality assurance; and regulatory compliance. 2nd shift, 32 hours, 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm, required to work every other weekend and alternating holidays. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES: Documents and monitors the medication management program and distribution of medications to residents by R.C.A.’s. Provides competency training for all resident care assistants in demonstrating competence in Self Administered Medication Management Program (SAMM). • Trains and supervises staff in medication administration and coordinates with pharmacist and other suppliers/vendors for medication delivery and accuracy.
