Department: Food & Beverage – Margaux Restaurant Reports To: Restaurant Manager / Food & Beverage Director FLSA Status: Non-Exempt / Hourly Position Summary The Bartender is responsible for providing exceptional guest service through the preparation and service of beverages, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic, in accordance with Warwick standards. This position requires strong mixology knowledge, professionalism, and the ability to maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming bar environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities • Greet guests promptly and courteously, providing an engaging and professional service experience., • Prepare and serve beverages according to established recipes and presentation standards., • Maintain complete knowledge of all menus, promotions, and daily specials., • Ensure compliance with all liquor laws and responsible alcohol service policies., • Set up and break down the bar at the beginning and end of each shift., • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and proper stock of bar products and supplies., • Accurately process guest transactions using the POS system., • Monitor guest behavior to ensure responsible service., • Assist with inventory, requisitioning, and restocking as needed., • Collaborate with restaurant servers and kitchen staff to ensure seamless guest service., • Follow all safety and sanitation policies as outlined by the hotel and health department regulations.Qualifications, • Minimum 2 years of bartending experience in a full-service restaurant or hotel., • Current Washington State MAST Permit (Mandatory Alcohol Server Training) required., • Current Washington State Food Handler’s Permit required., • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills., • Strong knowledge of cocktails, wine, and beer., • Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays., • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.Physical Requirements, • Stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8 hours per shift)., • Bend, stoop, reach, and lift up to 40 pounds regularly., • Frequent use of hands and arms for reaching, handling glassware, and preparing beverages., • Must be able to visually inspect products for quality and presentation., • Must be able to hear and communicate clearly in a noisy environment., • Ability to work in variable temperatures (near coolers or warm bar lights).Work Environment, • Fast-paced, guest-focused hospitality setting., • Frequent interaction with guests, coworkers, and supervisors., • Exposure to cleaning chemicals, glassware, and potentially slippery floors.Uniform and Grooming Standards, • Warwick-issued shirt and apron must be clean and pressed., • Black dress pants and black, closed-toe, non-slip shoes required., • Hair must be neatly groomed; long hair must be tied back., • Minimal jewelry; a professional appearance is required at all times.
