Job Description POSITION SUMMARY: The Medical Scribe supports licensed practitioners (physicians, NPs, PAs, psychologists, and clinical teams) by performing real time, accurate documentation of patient encounters in the electronic health record (EHR). This role requires advanced attention to detail, fluency in behavioral health and neurodevelopmental terminology, adherence to compliance standards (i.e. HIPAA, CMS documentation), and a compassionate, family centered approach to care coordination for patients with complex medical and behavioral needs. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION: • High school diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred in health sciences or healthcare related field., • Completion of formal scribe training aligned with AHDI standards. EXPERIENCE: • 1–2 years of scribing or clinical documentation experience preferred, ideally in behavioral health or neurodevelopmental settings. Requirements: Requirements: • Experience: Recent clinical experience (within the last 2 years) practicing in an ED setting., • Licensure: Current, unrestricted medical license to practice in Texas., • Board Certification: Board Certified/Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine., • Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certified by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
