JOB DESCRIPTION Summary/ Objective East Side House (ESH) provides high-quality, year-round programming in NYCHA community centers and public schools, serving youth and families through education, workforce readiness, recreation, and community engagement. Reporting to the Senior and/or Department Director, the Program Director oversees the development, implementation, and supervision of Early Childhood Education & Elementary Division. This includes daily operations, staff management, compliance, and creating safe, inclusive, and responsive environments that promote positive outcomes. As a member of the Early Childhood Education & Elementary Division, the Program Director is expected to lead dynamic, age-appropriate programming for Elementary age participants and community members. This role includes direct supervision of the Assistant Program Director, Group Leaders, Activity Specialist, and other frontline staff. It requires regular collaboration with Human Resources, Finance, IT, and other East Side House departments. Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Under the supervision of the Senior Director and /or Department Director, the Program Director will: • Provide strategic leadership and day-to-day oversight of youth and adult programs, including evenings, weekends, and summer., • Recruit, hire, schedule, onboard, and supervise full-time and part-time staff., • Monitor performance and ensure compliance with DYCD goals, quality standards, and contractual requirements., • Conduct staff evaluations, provide ongoing coaching, and lead monthly professional development and team meetings., • Oversee the design and delivery of engaging, age-appropriate programming focused on academics, recreation, workforce readiness, and cultural enrichment., • Ensure compliance with DOH School-Aged Child Care and Summer Day regulations, including quarterly inspections., • Train staff on safety protocols and ensure emergency preparedness., • Track attendance and maintain accurate records using DYCD Connect and internal systems., • Manage CACFP Food Program compliance and documentation., • Serve as the main point of contact for NYCHA, DYCD, schools, families, and community partners., • Build relationships with residents, tenant associations, youth councils, and community stakeholders., • Conduct quarterly community assessments and incorporate participant feedback into program planning., • Plan and execute four community events and a series of family workshops annually., • Cultivate at least three new partnerships each year to expand program offerings., • Manage the program budget, process purchase orders, and submit reports on time., • Represent the program in required meetings and maintain regular communication with NYCHA and DYCD., • Collaborate with ESH colleagues to coordinate events, share best practices, and support agency-wide initiatives., • Perform other duties as assigned. Experience Proven experience in driving, including transit bus operation, school bus driving, truck driving with a strong understanding of traffic laws and safety regulations. Experience working with seniors is highly desirable; ability to manage behavior and provide compassionate customer service. Knowledge of emergency response procedures for transportation situations such as accidents or medical emergencies; CPR certification is a plus. RESPONSIBILITIES • Alongside the CEAO, build and implement a multi-channel (print and digital) marketing plan for FTH’s presenting programming, arts services, arts education, and overall institutional awareness/branding. • Manage the end-to-end delivery of all marketing campaigns, including messaging, content creation, timing, targeting, and multi-language translations. • Manage the Marketing Assistant, including the implementation of goals, deadlines, and tracking of workflow. • Manage FTH’s strategy for ticket sales, including quarterly goals with a focus on increased Box Office revenue. • Ensure all FTH marketing collateral content is consistent across the board, including rollout timing, design/layout, information, and branding. • Collaborate with designers, partners, and internal staff to produce collateral as needed, including web, social media, eblasts, flyers, postcards, posters, and ads, and ensure consistently in all channels and departments. • Write and oversee FTH’s eblasts, website, and social media content., • Manage marketing calendar and work with External Affairs team to ensure alignment across all efforts. • Work with Senior Manager of Development & Community Engagement and Patron Services Manager on audience development, including strategies to turn community partnerships and neighbors into repeat ticket buyers and donors. • Meet with FTH program leads and outside artists/contractors to acquire details on artists and events and leverage assets to optimize program attendance. • Work with Senior Manager of Development & Community Engagement to market development efforts, including two large appeals annually. • Work in partnership with Director of Production to optimize FTH’s digital presence and activities, including, but not limited to: creative, website, content creation (video, photo, and post copy) for social and digital channels, email and digital ad campaigns with the goal of increasing online engagement, driving new and return audiences for free and ticketed live streaming and pre-recorded events. • Recommend appropriate event ticket pricing and discount adjustments resulting from sales analysis and field-wide data. • Where required, negotiate, purchase and design online and print ad placements, as well as execution of media sponsorships and promotional partnerships. • Collaborate with FTH’s communications agency partner as needed., • Hire and work with photographers and/or videographers as needed., • Respond to media inquiries to generate ongoing positive media coverage with mainstream and multi-ethnic media outlets. • Manage marketing related expenses., • Prepare and share marketing best practices, updates, and research data with the External Affairs team as needed. • Embrace other data analytics and financial accountability responsibilities as needed. QUALIFICATIONS • Minimum 3 years of management experience in the field of marketing; nonprofit and/or arts strongly preferred. • Experience with the following platforms (or similar platforms, indicating the ability to learn these): Asana for cross-channel marketing calendar management; Sprout Social for scheduling social media content; Constant Contact for email marketing; and platforms/programs including Canva, iMovie, and Adobe Creative Suite for the creation of static and video assets. • Experience with website CMS and CRM is strongly preferred as well as competency with Microsoft Office. • Experience working with media relations and external partners., • Excellent sense of design and impeccable attention to detail., • Passion for the arts and artists; knowledge of Queens and NYC cultural sectors strongly preferred. • Experience working with immigrant communities is a plus. Responsibilities: • Install, service, troubleshoot, test, and maintain low-voltage systems, • Work with CCTV and IP camera systems, • Install and service access control systems, • Install and troubleshoot burglar alarm systems, • Work with fire alarm systems, • Perform structured cabling and networking installations, • Program and configure security equipment, • Read scopes of work, drawings, and project requirements, • Troubleshoot system and installation issues independently, • Lead technicians and coordinate work on job sites, • Communicate professionally with customers, project managers, and office staff, • Complete commercial installations from start to finish, • Maintain clean, organized, and professional job sites Qualifications: • Minimum 7 years of low-voltage experience, • 10+ years of experience preferred, • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, • Experience programming and configuring low-voltage/security systems, • Must be comfortable leading projects and directing other technicians, • Valid driver's license required, • Must be dependable and able to travel to job sites, • Ability to work occasional evenings, nights, or after-hours projects when required, • OSHA 30, NICET, FDNY, manufacturer certifications, and other industry certifications are a plus, but are not required
