Our mental health and therapy services extends to more than 6,000 children and their families yearly. Stepping Stones Intensive Day Treatment Program for Preschool Children provides a therapeutic, nurturing, and enriching enrollment for children ages 2.5 to 5, who need early intervention for social, emotional, behavioral, neurological and/or psychological challenges. Stepping Stones is a comprehensive early intervention program, which utlizes a strength-based approach to promote social and emotional growth, school readiness, and overall family wellness. Help Group is currently looking for a bright, dynamic, Program Coordinator for our Stepping Stones team. This unique prevention program serves -referred families with children ages 2.5 - 5 years old day treatment and families from the community that are in need of family strengthening. Position Details: • Full Time - Monday – Friday, • Locations: Van Nuys QUALIFICATIONS: • Masters Degree in sociology, social work, psychology, public health, health administration, or other social service field., • Licensed MFT, LCSW, or LPCC preferred, but not required., • Minimum 2 years during the last 5 years providing direct client service to at-risk children and families, • Minimum two years’ full-time management experience in a social service agency and in supervising multidisciplinary teams, • Expertise in the coordination of intensive services both in a clinic and community setting, • Familiarity with principles of family-centered, strengths-based services., • Knowledge of electronic health records systems., • Must have valid California drivers’ license, car and insurance. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Ensure all Day Time Intensive Program components are in place together with all pertinent documentation as required by the contract and as outlined in Statement of Work, • Under the guidance and supervision of the Senior Director of Clinical Services direct all programmatic and administrative aspects of Day Time Intensive Program including supervision of staff and complete oversight of subcontractor agreements and service delivery., • Provide oversight to all programmatic operations in both Service Planning Areas (SPA) 2., • Facilitate coordination of services and effective communication among a network of service providers to ensure solid linkages and uniformity of services., • Participate in the hiring, training, supervision and evaluation of program staff and subcontractors., • Conduct regular staff meetings and ensure ongoing staff development with particular attention to training on the prevention of child abuse and neglect., • Ensure all staff including subcontractors’ is certified in Standards of Quality for Family Strengthening and Support, as contractually required., • Supervise all aspects of client casework and ensure that all necessary documentation, data collection, records, data entry, files, and reports are proper, timely, and in compliance with program requirements., • Develop policies and procedures for effective program implementation in the areas of service delivery, capacity building, outreach, and outcomes evaluation., • Develop and maintain data tracking mechanisms to provide reports related to quality management, outcome evaluation, budget allocations and others, as requested., • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of child abuse legislation and reporting laws and ensure all staff including subcontractors attend all required trainings., • Maintain client and staff information in a confidential manner., • Comply with applicable professional licensing or certification requirements and ethics, if applicable., • Conduct all functions in accordance with Agency guidelines, policies, and procedures. Salaries will vary based on various factors, including but not limited to, professional and academic experience, certification, training, responsibilities of the position, and other business and organizational needs.
