Job Description Job Title: Quality Inspector Job Description The Quality Technician is responsible for supporting quality assurance and control processes to ensure products meet established standards and customer requirements. This role involves inspection, testing, documentation, and collaboration with production teams to maintain and improve product quality. Candidates must have 1-3 years of experience in Quality Inspection and a high school diploma or GED. Training will be conducted on the 1st shift for a couple of weeks. Responsibilities • Perform routine inspections of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products., • Conduct tests using measuring tools and equipment such as CMMs, calipers, micrometers, and gauges., • Record and analyze inspection and test data., • Identify defects or deviations from specifications and report findings., • Assist in root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA)., • Maintain quality records and documentation in compliance with company and regulatory standards., • Support internal audits and external quality audits., • Ensure compliance with quality standards such as AS9100 or customer-specific requirements., • Work closely with production, engineering, and management to resolve quality issues., • High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree or technical certification preferred., • 1–3 years of experience in quality inspection or manufacturing environment., • Knowledge of quality control processes and inspection techniques., • Familiarity with blueprints, technical drawings, and measurement tools and testing equipment., • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)., • Strong attention to detail and accuracy., • Problem-solving and analytical skills., • Good communication and teamwork abilities., • Ability to read and interpret technical documents., • Time management and organizational skills., • Proficient in problem solving and troubleshooting., • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Work Environment Work on the 2nd shift from Monday through Thursday, with optional work on Fridays, from 4:30 PM to 3:00 AM. Training will take place during the day shift for a couple of weeks. The facility is clean but can be hot in the summer, with fans provided for all employees at their workstations. The company operates with 140 employees in Rockford across two shifts. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Rockford, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $41600.00 - $54600.00/yr.
