Role Summary The Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) is a key member of the executive leadership team responsible for defining and executing YELL Payment’s global marketing, brand, communications, and growth strategy. This role oversees all aspects of marketing, demand generation, customer acquisition, brand positioning, and public relations, while driving alignment across product, sales, and customer experience functions. The CMO will lead the company’s go-to-market strategy, elevate brand authority, and position YELL as a category leader in fintech. This executive will combine strategic vision with operational excellence to deliver scalable growth, enhance customer engagement, and build a high-performance marketing organization. Key Responsibilities Executive Leadership & Strategic Vision • Define and lead the company’s overall marketing vision aligned with business objectives, revenue targets, and long-term growth strategy., • Serve as a strategic partner to the CEO and executive team on company positioning, market expansion, and investor communications., • Build and lead a world-class marketing organization with strong leadership, accountability, and performance culture., • Own the company’s brand narrative, ensuring consistency across all channels and stakeholders. Marketing Strategy & Growth • Develop and execute a comprehensive, data-driven marketing strategy that drives customer acquisition, retention, and lifetime value., • Oversee all marketing channels including digital (SEO, SEM, paid media), social, content, lifecycle marketing, partnerships, and performance marketing., • Establish KPIs, attribution models, and reporting frameworks to measure ROI and optimize campaigns., • Leverage customer insights, analytics, and market intelligence to refine segmentation and targeting strategies., • Drive innovation in growth marketing, including experimentation, automation, and AI-driven personalization. Brand, Communications & Public Relations • Own and evolve YELL’s brand positioning, voice, and market presence across all touchpoints., • Lead all public relations (PR) efforts including media relations, press strategy, thought leadership, executive visibility, and crisis communications., • Develop strategic communications plans to support product launches, partnerships, regulatory milestones, and corporate initiatives., • Build relationships with media, analysts, and industry influencers to strengthen brand credibility and awareness., • Oversee corporate communications, including internal messaging, investor communications, and external announcements. Go-To-Market & Product Marketing • Partner with Product and Engineering to define product positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategies., • Lead product marketing initiatives, including launches, feature rollouts, and customer education campaigns., • Ensure alignment between marketing, sales, and customer success teams across the entire customer lifecycle., • Translate complex fintech and compliance concepts into clear, compelling messaging for customers and partners. Revenue & Commercial Alignment • Collaborate with Sales leadership to drive pipeline generation, conversion, and revenue growth across B2B and B2C segments., • Align marketing initiatives with sales goals, ensuring seamless handoff, lead quality, and funnel optimization., • Support pricing strategy, customer segmentation, and monetization models., • Contribute to revenue forecasting and growth planning at the executive level. Compliance, Risk & Brand Protection • Ensure all marketing, communications, and advertising practices comply with regulatory and legal standards (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, CAN-SPAM, TCPA, financial advertising guidelines)., • Partner with Compliance, Legal, and Security teams to ensure responsible use of customer data and adherence to fintech regulations., • Maintain strong governance over brand usage, messaging, and third-party marketing platforms., • Mitigate reputational risk through proactive communication strategies and crisis management planning. Team Leadership & Organizational Development • Recruit, develop, and retain top marketing talent across growth, brand, product marketing, and communications functions., • Establish clear performance metrics, career development paths, and a culture of accountability and innovation., • Foster cross-functional collaboration across marketing, sales, product, compliance, and operations teams. Qualifications • 12+ years of marketing leadership experience, with significant experience in fintech, financial services, SaaS, or high-growth technology environments., • Proven track record of scaling marketing organizations and driving measurable revenue growth., • Deep expertise in digital marketing, growth strategy, brand development, and public relations., • Strong understanding of regulatory and compliance considerations in financial services marketing., • Experience working closely with executive teams, boards, and investors., • Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills., • Data-driven mindset with strong analytical and performance optimization capabilities. Preferred Qualifications • Experience in payments, banking, or fintech ecosystems., • Background in both B2B and B2C marketing models., • Experience leading global or multi-market marketing strategies., • MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
