This role is responsible for specimen handling, processing, documentation, and operational support while maintaining strict adherence to quality, safety, and compliance standards in a fast-paced laboratory environment.Key Responsibilities, • Perform general specimen processing and support functions within Technical Operations, • Sort, rack, centrifuge, aliquot, store, and deliver specimens to the laboratory, • Support specimen pickup and delivery workflows, • Assist with archive sorting, inventory management, waste handling, and X-ray machine operations as trained, • Identify and resolve issues related to specimen types, missing information, or processing errors, • Research test order information using translation tables, systems, and directories of services, • Complete required documentation accurately, legibly, and within assigned timeframes, • Meet established quality and production standards within six months of training completion, • Support department operations during coworker absences and fluctuating workload demands, • Learn additional functions within Tech Ops and Specimen Processing to support progressionRequired Skills & Qualifications, • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a production environment, • Strong verbal and written communication skills, • Ability to maintain composure and sound judgment under pressure, • Commitment to safety, compliance, and established work processes, • Willingness to support weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as needed, • Ability to adapt to change and support continuous improvement initiatives, • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skillsWork Environment & Physical Requirements, • Work performed in a biohazard laboratory environment, • Compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements required, • Ability to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods, • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and maneuver carts or specimen racks, • Maintain clean and organized work area in compliance with 5S standardsEducation & Experience, • High School Diploma or GED required, • Medical background preferred, including medical terminology applicable to clinical laboratories, • Prior experience in a production environment preferred, • Familiarity with mainframe computer systems preferredBenefits, • Medical Insurance, • Vision Insurance, • Dental Insurance We are a Native American-owned, economically disadvantaged corporation that highly values diverse and inclusive workplaces.
