Job Summary: Arizona Liver Health is looking for a qualified TEMPORARY - Research Phlebotomist. Qualified candidates will possess great patient service skills and with a passion for growing their skillsets in clinical research. This role is expected to provide excellent phlebotomy patient service and requires high organizational skills in order to process and ship lab samples while following clinical research protocols and regulatory requirements. Title: TEMPORARY -- Research Phlebotomist (Tucson, AZ) Compensation: $30 per hour Status: Full-time, 3-Month Contract (eligible for overtime and benefits) Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7am to 4pm, some Saturdays available Start date: ASAP End date: 3-months from start date At the end of the temporary period a full-time permanent placement opportunity may be considered Key Responsibilities: • Verifying positive patient identification to ensure subject safety. Assessing subject reactions to specimen, • Performing venipuncture, capillary, and/or IV specimens from study subjects according to established protocol, maintaining aseptic technique. Obtaining additional assistance when judged, • Obtaining specimens according to priority and scheduled draw times. Ensuring completion of specimen collection functions according to protocol. Ensuring that specimens are properly labeled and suitable for, • With supervision, ensures that clinical trials are conducted according to protocol requirements, • Sample management - collection and appropriate chain of custody for all samples obtained, • Provide necessary instructions to research participants, • Completes and keeps up-to-date on role-required, • Phlebotomy Skills - Minimum of 3 years of phlebotomy experience required, • Bilingual (Spanish Speaking) preferred, • Technical Assessment skills, • Demonstrates strong analytical, problem solving skills, • Strong written and verbal communication, • Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail, • Must be results oriented, multi-tasking, quick learner, respond to the urgent needs of the team and show a strong track record of meeting, • Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft applications, • Teamwork - If someone needs help, help them, • Initiative – Be innovative, apply fresh ideas and continuously improve how you do your work., • Confidentiality – Maintains strict confidentiality and respect the privacy of others., • Ethical – Demonstrate consideration and appreciation for co-workers and customer., • Phlebotomy certificate required, • AS or BS degree preferred, • Able to lift at least 25 lbs., • Able to walk and stand for at least 50% of the day, • Able to sit for at least 50% of the day, • Communicate: hearing, talking, vision, • 5 days Sick Time EEO statement It is the policy of the Institute for Liver Health DBA Arizona Liver Health and Arizona Clinical Trials to provide equal employment opportunities without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, marital status, veteran status, sexual orientation, genetic information or any other protected characteristic under applicable law.
