Job Summary The BH Therapist provides high quality mental health services for individuals, couples, families and groups in accordance with all compliance regulations and requirements. The part-time BH Therapist provides client centered services and participates in the BH team in manner that is congruent to SCHC’s mission, values and strategic goals. Reports To: Behavioral Health Manager Department: Behavioral HealthBusiness Unit: Sacred Circle StrategyPatient Care: Yes Worker Status: Full-time, Salary Benefits Eligible: Yes Hours Per Week: 40Work Schedule: To Be Determined with the availability of 8:00 am – 6:00 pm Monday through Friday. Evening, weekend and occasional travel to Ibapah may be required depending on position requirements Supervisory Responsibilities: N/A The successful candidate: • Conducts intake assessments to gather, analyze, and evaluate psycho-social data according to policy and procedures and in compliance with all state and licensing regulations, I.H.S. standards, Center for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS) requirements, and AAAHC standards regarding service delivery and documentation., • Provides mental health counseling to children, adults, couples, and groups. May be counseling at the Reservation in Ibapah, UT 1-2 days a month (travel paid for) according to policy and procedures and in compliance with all state and licensing regulations, I.H.S. standards, Center for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS) requirements, and AAAHC standards regarding service delivery and documentation., • Coordinates care of patients with primary care providers regarding psychotropic medication needs., • Provides behavioral health interventions related to a variety of needs such as smoking cessation, medication compliance, weight control, etc., • Creates case conceptualization based on appropriate diagnosis and best treatment standards, presents the findings at Clinical Case Staff meetings, documents peer feedback and includes feedback into case conceptualization., • Participates in collaborative treatment planning with patients, incorporates treatment goals and objectives into sessions, documentation and updates the plans every 6 months or as needed., • Completes timely documentation of all clinical contacts including crisis, intake/evaluations, diagnoses, tx planning, referrals and outcome measures and reports in a timely manner (within 72 hours of visit)., • Participates in creating a positive, supportive team environment., • Evaluates outcome data and the therapeutic relationship to ensure services are delivered in an effective manner, • Partners with HR on Lunch and Learns, Community Connections Outreach team and other departments as requested prepare and present materials, training, education and presentations, • Partners with HR Employee Learning and Development Coordinator to assist with the creation of training materials for SCHC employees on topics related to BH., • Participates in crisis and de-escalation training and services for the clinic patients and staff as needed/requested, • Participates in weekly team meeting, staff meetings, and trainings as scheduled., • Follows policy and procedures regarding CEU requests and completion, • Assists with group facilitation coverage when available, • Maintains strict confidentiality, • Responsible for maintaining licensure., • Reads, understands, and adheres to all Sacred Circle Health Care Policies and Procedures., • Practices and adheres to the Code of Conduct and Mission and Values Statements. EDUCATION: Master's or PhD in a mental health field. EXPERIENCE: Clinical Experience with underserved populations. Clinical Experience with AIAN populations. CERTIFICATION/ LICENSE: Current Utah license in good standing. CPR certified. Other: Regular compliance with SCHC policy and procedures. Current caseload and outcome data support scheduling change. Ability to work full-time. Proficiency in electronic record keeping and utility of electronic resources. Ability to maintain proper documentation. Preferred Requirements: EDUCATION: EXPERIENCE: 1+ years of clinical experience. CERTIFICATION/ LICENSE: Other: KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES: • Knowledge of human behavior and performance; individual differences in ability, personality, and interests; learning and motivation; and the assessment and treatment of behavioral and affective disorders., • Knowledge of principles, methods, and procedures for diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of mental dysfunctions, and for career counseling and guidance., • Knowledge of group behavior and dynamics, societal trends and influences, ethnicity, and cultures and their history and origins., • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customers and personal services., • Skills in interpersonal and group communication., • Skills in interviewing and assessment., • Ability to translate assessment information into a treatment plan., • Ability to work with a culturally diverse patient population and community., • Ability to manage stress and crisis situations., • Ability to work independently., • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality., • Ability to ensure compliance with regulatory bodies and in-house clinical guidelines.
