Job DescriptionPatient Care Coordinator – Remote Start Date: October 2025 Contract Duration: 12 months Pay Rate: $23/hour Schedule: TBD (No time off permitted during training) Work Setup: 100% Remote (equipment provided) Position Overview We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Patient Care Coordinator to join our remote team. This role is regionally aligned and serves as a key liaison between patients, healthcare providers, and program stakeholders. The ideal candidate will bring deep knowledge of pharmaceutical and medical benefit processes, strong communication skills, and a commitment to improving patient access to therapy. Key Responsibilities • Serve as an expert on reimbursement, co-pay assistance, foundation support, and PAP (Patient Assistance Programs), • Advocate for patients throughout the enrollment, reimbursement, and affordability support process, • Act as the primary point of contact for assigned healthcare providers, delivering timely updates and building lasting relationships, • Partner with prescribers and patients to eliminate non-clinical barriers to therapy access, • Maintain accurate records in compliance with program standards and regulatory requirements, • Escalate complex cases according to program guidelines, • Liaise between Program Management, Healthcare Providers, and Manufacturer contacts, • Provide exceptional customer service while representing the brand and program, • Collaborate with Franchise Program Managers and clients to share insights on patient status and program effectiveness, • Educate patients on health conditions and available support services, • Uphold strict confidentiality and ethical standards, • Handle inbound and outbound communications with patients, providers, specialty pharmacies, and pharmaceutical field teams, • Additional duties as assignedRequired Skills & Experience, • Expert-level experience in healthcare customer service, patient services, or HUB support, • 2+ years of experience in pharmaceutical and medical benefit processes, • Strong understanding of insurance benefit terminology and reimbursement pathways, • Previous contact center experience in a healthcare setting, • Proven ability to communicate with patients, physician offices, specialty pharmacies, pharmacists, and pharmaceutical field teams, • Familiarity with pharmacy benefits, provider relations, hospital billing, and medical terminology, • Computer proficiency and strong documentation skills, • Professional, dependable, and detail-oriented with excellent time management, • Positive attitude and willingness to learn and adapt to program policiesPreferred Experience, • Health care call center experience, • Basic reimbursement knowledge, • Experience supporting patients in specialty pharmacy or pharmaceutical benefit programs Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
