WORK SCHEDULE • Full-Time | Monday–Friday, • 8.5- to 10.5-hour shifts between 6:00 AM and 6:00 PM, • 30-minute or 1-hour lunch break, • Never more than 40 hours per week, • Weekend coverage approximately 7–8 times per year, • When working weekend coverage, you will receive one weekday off, • Approximately ½-day holiday coverage per year BEFORE YOU APPLY — KEY REQUIREMENTS You must meet ALL of the following requirements to be considered: • Education: Master's degree in Physical Therapy OR a baccalaureate degree in Physical Therapy for graduates prior to January 1, 2002, • Accreditation: Graduate of a CAPTE-approved Physical Therapy program, • Experience: Minimum of 1 year of full-time Physical Therapist experience within the last 3 years, • Licensure: Current, unrestricted Physical Therapist license, • BLS: Current AHA or ARC BLS Healthcare Provider certification, • Security: Ability to successfully complete required Government background check/security requirements POSITION OVERVIEW As a Physical Therapist at Naval Medical Center Camp Lejeune, you will deliver comprehensive evaluations, treatments, rehabilitation, prevention, and wellness services. You will work alongside physicians and other healthcare professionals to create and implement personalized treatment programs aimed at enhancing patient mobility, function, independence, and overall quality of life. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Perform a full range of Physical Therapist services in accordance with clinical privileges granted by the medical treatment facility, • Conduct comprehensive physical therapy evaluations, • Develop and implement individualized written treatment programs, • Evaluate and treat patients with neuromusculoskeletal and functional impairments, • Provide treatment related to respiratory and circulatory efficiency when appropriate, • Administer manual therapeutic exercises to improve and maintain function, • Instruct and assist patients with:, • Therapeutic exercises, • Mobility and ambulatory activities, • Functional activities, • Activities of daily living, • Educate patients on the appropriate use of:, • Crutches, • Canes, • Prostheses, • Other assistive and supportive devices, • Perform soft-tissue mobilization and other appropriate mobilization techniques, • Administer traction and other therapeutic interventions for pain management, • Evaluate patient response to treatment and modify treatment plans as clinically appropriate, • Document treatments, patient responses, and progress in medical records and applicable electronic systems, • Coordinate patient treatment with physicians and other healthcare team members, • Communicate with referring physicians regarding patient-care concerns when required, • Provide prevention and wellness activities, • Conduct patient education and screenings, • Promote positive health behaviors and patient self-management, • Provide inpatient Physical Therapist services as needed ADDITIONAL CLINICAL RESPONSIBILITIES Depending on clinical privileges, departmental requirements, and patient needs, treatments may include: • Dry needling, • Cupping, • Scraping, • Soft-tissue techniques, • Pulsed lavage, • Whirlpool therapy, • Moist packs, • Ultrasound, • Ultraviolet and infrared therapy, • Other approved physical therapy modalities Additional responsibilities may include: • Provide clinical direction to Physical Therapist Assistants, technicians, aides, students, and other therapy personnel, • Serve as a clinical instructor for physical therapy and other healthcare students, • Plan and conduct lectures and training programs on physical therapy-related subjects, • Participate in rehabilitation team meetings, • Participate in seminars and quality-assurance activities, • Maintain required departmental records and files, • Complete patient encounter coding and workload documentation, • Provide cross-training and clinical guidance as required MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education • Master's degree in Physical Therapy, OR, • Baccalaureate degree in Physical Therapy for graduates prior to January 1, 2002, • Must have graduated from a college or university with a Physical Therapy program approved by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE) Experience • Minimum of 1 year of full-time experience as a Physical Therapist within the last 3 years Licensure Must possess a current, unrestricted license to practice as a Physical Therapist in: • Any of the 50 U.S. states, • District of Columbia, • Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, • Guam, • U.S. Virgin Islands Life Support Certification • Current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) BLS Healthcare Provider certification Security • Must be able to successfully complete required Government background check/security clearance requirements APPLY NOW — SEARCH IS ACTIVE Interviews are underway and qualified candidates are being reviewed now. • Applications are being reviewed as they are received, • Qualified candidates may be contacted quickly, • The search will close once a qualified candidate is selected Your next Physical Therapist opportunity could be at Naval Medical Center Camp Lejeune.
