About the Role The Quality Control Laboratory Technician is responsible for performing laboratory testing, sample preparation, and quality inspections to ensure raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products meet established quality, safety, and regulatory standards. This role plays a critical part in supporting manufacturing operations by maintaining accurate laboratory documentation, performing analytical testing, and ensuring compliance with quality systems and standard operating procedures. Responsibilities • Perform laboratory testing on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products according to approved test methods, • Prepare, label, and maintain samples for chemical, physical, and microbiological analysis, • Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments, • Record, analyze, and document test results in laboratory information management systems (LIMS) or quality management systems, • Identify and report out-of-specification results and assist with investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions, • Ensure compliance with SOPs, GMP, GLP, and applicable regulatory requirements, • Maintain laboratory cleanliness, organization, and inventory of supplies and reagents, • Support internal audits, quality initiatives, method validations, and continuous improvement activities, • Collaborate with production, quality assurance, and operations teams to resolve quality concerns, • Follow all laboratory safety procedures and company policies Qualifications • Associate degree in Chemistry, Biology, Food Science, Microbiology, or a related scientific field, • Experience working in a quality control laboratory within a manufacturing, food, pharmaceutical, chemical, or related environment, • Knowledge of GMP, GLP, HACCP, ISO, BRC, SQF, FDA, or other applicable quality systems, • Experience performing laboratory testing using established analytical methods, • Strong attention to detail with excellent documentation and recordkeeping skills, • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, laboratory software, or LIMS, • Ability to follow written procedures and work independently in a fast-paced laboratory environment Desired Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Food Science, Microbiology, or a related scientific discipline, • Experience with analytical laboratory equipment such as pH meters, spectrophotometers, moisture analyzers, HPLC, GC, or other testing instrumentation, • Experience with laboratory investigations, CAPA, and root cause analysis, • Certifications such as HACCP, PCQI, Six Sigma, or ASQ Certified Quality Improvement Associate (CQIA), • Familiarity with regulatory compliance in food, pharmaceutical, medical device, or chemical manufacturing, • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
