Job Description This Nurse Manager – ED opportunity is based in Dallas, TX at an 895-bed tertiary care center with a full-service adult hospital, a pediatric hospital, and separate adult and pediatric emergency departments. The facility supports 400+ in-house physician specialists and draws patients from across the country and internationally. The role. The Nurse Manager reports into hospital leadership and oversees a 57-bed emergency department — 41 wall beds and 16 hallway beds — with a team of approximately 35 FTEs. The manager is responsible for planning, organizing, and directing the full scope of emergency department services, collaborating with nursing and multidisciplinary department leadership to ensure care is delivered in line with recognized clinical standards. A key focus is developing and recommending policies, procedures, and programs that improve quality, efficiency, and effectiveness within the ED. The role also requires active physician relationship management, budget preparation, and resolution of complex operational and patient care issues as they arise.
