American Traveler is seeking a travel Radiology Technician for a travel job in Springfield, Illinois. Job Description & Requirements • Specialty: Radiology Technician, • Discipline: Allied Health Professional, • Start Date: 02/09/2026, • Duration: 13 weeks, • 40 hours per week, • Shift: 8 hours, evenings, • Position is in an adult acute care hospital, Level I trauma center, and Magnet facility, • Unit involves X-ray including adult acute care, outpatient, ER, ICU, NICU, and operating room imaging, • Work schedule is 5x8 hour evening shifts from 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM, • Every other weekend and holiday shifts are required, • On-call duties required as needed, • No floating outside of primary scope, • Required imaging includes abdomen (decubitus, supine, upright), chest (AP, lateral decubitus, routine, upper airway), head (facial bones, orbits, sinuses, skull, TMJ), lower extremity (ankle, femur, foot, knee, tibia-fibula), mobile/surgical (C-arm, portable abdomen/chest), spine/pelvis (cervical, hip, lumbar, sacrum/coccyx, thoracic), and upper extremity (clavicle, elbow, forearm, hand, scapula, shoulder, trauma shoulder/humerus, wrist), • Required equipment experience with O-ARM, • Patient population is primarily adults across critical care and surgical settings, • Uses Cerner EMR; Cerner experience preferred, • Main duties include performing a wide range of radiographic exams in various units including the operating room and critical care areas, • Will interact with a multi-disciplinary team in a fast-paced Level I trauma and Magnet hospital environment, • First-time travelers are welcome to apply, • Scrubs may be any solid color per hospital guidelines, • Parking is provided free of charge with a required permit obtained during orientation, • Schedule and block requests should be discussed with the manager, • Time off is ideally limited to no more than 5 days during the assignment, • Local candidates are accepted\n \n Requirements\n, • Minimum 1 year of X-ray technologist experience, • ARRT and BLS certifications required, • Active Illinois state license required (license required if applicable), • OR imaging experience required, • Experience in adult acute care, outpatient, ER, ICU, NICU, and OR imaging required, • Skill in all listed radiographic procedures required, • Experience with O-ARM equipment required, • Level I trauma and Cerner experience preferred, • No pending licenses accepted; must have active Illinois license at application\n Benefits\n, • High Pay and Bonuses, • Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options, • 401(k) Plan, • Weekly Payroll Deposit, • Free Online CEUs, • Generous Housing Allowance, • Travel and Licensure Reimbursements, • Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy With thousands of travel nursing and allied jobs nationwide, our attentive and approachable recruiters find positions that align perfectly with your career aspirations and personal requirements.
