The roles and responsibilities of the Entry-Level Bindery Operator position include sorting, drilling, padding, and folding materials to produce finished print products. Because most of the work is done by machine, the Entry-Level Bindery Operator will work with scoring/creasing, stitching, drilling, and binding machines. Attention to detail is a requirement for this position! Also, time management skills and the ability to prioritize are “musts,” as many projects may be scheduled simultaneously and be in the production stage at the same time. If a problem arises, the Entry-Level Bindery Operator must be able to communicate the issue to the print production leaders.
