Summary : We are seeking a talented and business-savvy Power BI Developer to join our team and support a key client in the supply chain industry. This role is perfect for someone who is not only a technical expert in Power BI but also excels at bridging the gap between data and business operations. You will be responsible for translating complex supply chain requirements into insightful, actionable dashboards and reports that drive strategic decision-making. Key Responsibilities : • Business Requirement Gathering: Collaborate directly with supply chain stakeholders (including logistics, procurement, and inventory management) to understand their challenges, KPIs, and reporting needs., • Solution Design & Mock-ups: Translate business needs into functional specifications, create wireframes and interactive mock-ups, and design intuitive, user-friendly Power BI dashboards., • Data Modeling & Transformation: Develop and optimize data models using Power Query and DAX. Perform data mapping from various source systems (ERP, WMS, etc.) to create a unified and reliable dataset for analysis., • Report Development: Build, deploy, and maintain robust and scalable Power BI reports and dashboards focused on key supply chain metrics such as inventory turnover, order fulfillment rates, shipping costs, and supplier performance., • Stakeholder Engagement: Lead workshops and meetings with business users to present prototypes, gather feedback, and ensure the final solution aligns perfectly with their operational needs., • Data Storytelling: Go beyond simple reporting to deliver compelling data narratives that highlight trends, pinpoint inefficiencies, and uncover opportunities for process improvement within the supply chain. Required Qualifications & Skills : • Experience: A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience developing complex reporting solutions with Microsoft Power BI., • Technical Proficiency:, • Expert-level skills in DAX and Power Query (M language)., • Strong proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation., • Solid understanding of data warehousing principles and data modeling best practices., • Business Acumen:, • Demonstrated experience in gathering and documenting business requirements from non-technical stakeholders., • Proven ability to create data mappings and design effective data models based on business processes., • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the confidence to lead meetings and workshops with business leaders., • Industry Knowledge: A strong understanding of core supply chain concepts (e.g., inventory management, logistics, demand planning, procurement). Preferred Qualifications • Experience working with data from major ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle)., • Knowledge of Azure data services (Azure SQL Database, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory)., • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies., • A degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Information Systems, or a related field.
