£27K–£30K Basic + Benefits 5-day working week across Monday to Saturday We are working with one of the UK’s leading eyewear retailers to recruit an experienced Optical Lab & Glazing Technician to join their growing Glasgow ecommerce operation. The Role • Operating within a fast-paced and highly organised ecommerce lab environment, this role will focus heavily on the glazing, preparation and quality control of prescription eyewear orders, • Working within a high-volume operation, you’ll be responsible for ensuring excellent standards of accuracy, efficiency and finished product quality, whilst supporting daily workflow targets and operational service levels, • This position would particularly suit somebody who has previously worked within a similar high-volume optical lab environment and who enjoys working at pace whilst maintaining exceptional attention to detail Key Responsibilities • Glazing and fitting lenses into frames to a consistently high standard, • Supporting the preparation and checking of prescription eyewear orders, • Assisting with prescription verification, order accuracy and frame/lens compatibility, • Carrying out quality control checks on completed orders, • Supporting adjustments, alignment, repairs and remake processes where required, • Working closely with customer service and operations teams to resolve order queries, • Helping maintain workflow efficiency and operational service levels, • Supporting high daily workflow volumes within a fast-paced production environment, • Ensuring high standards of accuracy, organisation and attention to detail at all times About You • Previous experience within an optical lab or glazing environment, • Strong practical glazing experience is essential, • Strong understanding of lenses, frames and prescriptions, • Comfortable working within a fast-paced, high-volume operational environment, • Able to work accurately and efficiently whilst managing daily workflow targets, • High levels of attention to detail and quality control awareness, • Strong organisational and communication skills, • Positive, reliable and team-oriented approach Why Apply • Join a well-established and highly regarded organisation, • Be part of a supportive and collaborative team, • Competitive salary and benefits package, • 5-day working pattern with shorter Saturday hours, paid as a full day, alongside a weekday off in lieu (Weekday hours: 8:45am–5:30pm | Saturdays: 8:30am–3:00pm), • Genuine opportunities for career development and progression CV’s in the first instance to: Tony Hamilton – Managing Director – Hamilton Hunter
