Fitness Instructor / Personal Trainer Location: East Grinstead Sports Club Salary: £12.21 per hour (10–20 hour contract) + Self-Employed PT Opportunities Are you passionate about health and fitness? Do you enjoy working with people and creating a positive, motivating environment? We are looking for a Fitness Instructor / Personal Trainer to join our team at East Grinstead Sports Club. This is a dual role where you will work as a Fitness Instructor on the gym floor while also having the opportunity to grow your own Personal Training business outside of contracted hours. Key Responsibilities As a Fitness Instructor, you will: Lead gym inductions and “how-to” sessions for new members Be a friendly, approachable presence on the gym floor Offer exercise guidance, technique advice, and support to members Promote classes, services, and ongoing promotions Assist with membership retention strategies Teach classes (if qualified) Carry out basic equipment checks, cleaning, and maintenance Open/close the facilities as required As a Personal Trainer, you will: Build and manage your own client base Design and deliver tailored one-to-one fitness programmes Provide nutritional and lifestyle advice Conduct basic fitness testing Work with higher-risk clients (exercise referral qualification required) Deliver specialist training in areas such as back pain, obesity, or diabetes (Level 4 qualification desirable) Stay up to date with the latest industry techniques and best practices Pay & Hours £12.21 per hour (10–20 hour contract, 2–4 shifts per week) Shifts: 5 hours each, including mornings, evenings, and weekends (flexible to business needs) Personal Training sessions run outside of gym floor hours on a self-employed basis (gym rental agreements available).
