Position Overview: The Junior Sous Chef plays a key leadership role within the kitchen brigade, supporting the Head Chef in delivering high-quality dishes while ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. In the absence of the Head Chef, you will take full responsibility for running the kitchen, including ordering stock, maintaining health and safety standards, and leading the team efficiently. With strong all-round kitchen experience, you can confidently work across all stations to produce starters, mains, and desserts to a high standard. This role requires excellent teamwork, communication skills, and a genuine passion for food, alongside an initiative-taking attitude towards learning and career development. Key Responsibilities: Deliver high-quality food service consistently. Support the execution of club dinners and events. Responsible for ordering and monthly stocktakes. Plan and develop daily specials, recipes, and menus. Maintain a safe, clean, and hygienic kitchen environment. Lead and support the team in an efficient and professional manner. Demonstrate ambition with a willingness to learn and develop. Show a mature, flexible, and positive approach to work. About You: Have previous supervisory experience in a commercial kitchen environment. Your own transport and live within a 30-minute commute of Hever Castle.
