Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Cloud Solutions Consultant (Pre-Sales / Sales Engineer) to join our rapidly growing team at our London office. As a sales engineer, you will play a critical role in understanding client technical requirements and providing pre‑sales support across Microsoft Cloud solutions, AI-enabled workloads, and related services. You will work closely with the sales team, using your technical expertise to clearly articulate the business and technical value of Microsoft technologies, including Copilot and Microsoft Fabric, to customers. Responsibilities: Technical Consultation: • Engage with clients to understand their technical requirements, challenges, and desired business outcomes, providing expert guidance on Microsoft Cloud, AI, and licensing solutions., • Advise customers on Azure environments, including licensing models, consumption charges, subscription management, and cost optimisation., • Support customer discussions around Microsoft Copilot readiness, including data security, identity, licensing prerequisites, and integration with Microsoft 365 and Azure services., • Assist customers in understanding how Microsoft Fabric supports analytics, data integration, and AI-driven insights across their Azure and Microsoft 365 estate. Pre‑Sales Support: • Collaborate with the sales team to develop technical proposals, presentations, and demonstrations that showcase the value of Microsoft Cloud, AI, and data platforms., • Position Azure services such as Azure Virtual Desktop, networking, storage, and analytics in alignment with customer use cases., • Help articulate AI value propositions, including productivity gains, automation opportunities, and data-driven decision making enabled by Copilot and Fabric. Product Knowledge: • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Microsoft Cloud services, Copilot capabilities, Microsoft Fabric, licensing models, and broader industry trends., • Provide clear, concise explanations of Microsoft offerings across Microsoft 365, Azure, Copilot, and data/AI services, tailored to both technical and non-technical audiences. Client Engagement: • Build trusted advisor relationships with customers, responding to technical and AI-related enquiries throughout the sales lifecycle., • Support executive and technical stakeholders with clear guidance on adoption considerations, security, and commercial implications of AI-enabled solutions. Collaboration: • Work closely with in-house Microsoft architects and engineers to ensure a smooth transition from pre-sales to implementation., • Provide technical and solution context that supports successful delivery of cloud, data, and AI initiatives. Training and Documentation: • Develop and deliver enablement sessions for sales teams, including Copilot positioning, AI fundamentals, and Fabric use cases., • Contribute to internal and external technical documentation, solution briefs, and enablement materials. Required Skills & Qualifications (must‑haves): • 3+ years’ experience in a Sales Engineer, Solutions Consultant, or technical pre‑sales role within the IT industry, ideally focused on Microsoft technologies., • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Cloud services, Azure infrastructure, and licensing models., • Solid understanding of Microsoft Copilot concepts, including data readiness, security considerations, and licensing requirements., • Experience optimising Azure environments for cost reduction and cost avoidance., • Ability to clearly explain Azure services, consumption models, and AI‑related cost drivers., • Foundational understanding of Microsoft Fabric, analytics, and AI-driven workloads., • Microsoft certifications preferred (e.g. MS‑900, AZ‑900, AZ‑104)., • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical and AI concepts into clear business value., • Strong customer‑centric mindset and consultative approach., • Proven ability to collaborate across sales, technical, and marketing teams., • Comfortable operating in a fast‑paced, growth‑oriented environment. Preferred Skills & Qualifications (nice‑to‑haves): • Experience supporting enterprise customers across multiple industries., • Exposure to AI adoption frameworks, analytics platforms, or data modernisation projects., • Project management experience supporting complex opportunities from pre‑sales through to delivery.
