Medical Sector Manager – Product Development Join a world-class product design and development consultancy, leading cutting-edge innovation in the medical and scientific sector. We’re expanding rapidly and looking for a Medical Sector Manager to help shape the future of life-changing products — from concept through to launch. In this senior role, you’ll manage and technically lead complex medical device projects, working closely with multidisciplinary teams of designers, engineers, and specialists. You’ll play a pivotal part in business development, client engagement, and strategic growth, building strong relationships with leading medical and scientific organizations worldwide. What You’ll Do • Lead and deliver high-impact medical product development projects within ISO 13485 frameworks., • Manage project scope, budgets, and timelines, while guiding multidisciplinary teams across design, mechanical, electronic, and software disciplines., • Develop new business opportunities – from pitching to clients and preparing detailed proposals, to nurturing long-term partnerships., • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and seminars, supporting the sector’s marketing and thought leadership initiatives., • Oversee and ensure quality, regulatory compliance, and creative excellence throughout every stage of product development. What We’re Looking For • Proven success leading medical device or scientific product projects., • Experience in a consultancy or design environment, balancing innovation, cost, and regulatory rigour., • Strong commercial awareness – able to scope, quote, and manage the financial aspects of technical projects., • Excellent leadership, communication, and client relationship skills., • Degree (1st or Upper 2nd) in Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Design Engineering (or equivalent)., • Familiarity with ISO 13485, high-volume manufacturing processes (e.g. injection moulding), and CAE tools., • A hands-on leader with a passion for innovation, quality, and delivering products that improve lives.
