About the role: Working in our rapidly growing Regional Service Centre, managing a significant transport operation, we require a people-focused Transport Assistant Site Manager to lead the transport team. The overall aim of the Transport Assistant Site Manager is to ensure the traffic operation runs smoothly, accurately and cost effectively 24 hours, 7 days per week. Ensuring that all legal regulations are met so that the company’s ability to carry out its business is not affected, the Transport Manager will have a sound knowledge of Road Transport Regulations and manage all activities to ensure compliance. About you: You will be an experienced Transport Manager or Site Manager within a large corporate distribution or logistics environment and be able to demonstrate the ability to manage a large operation in a fast-paced environment. You will possess excellent people management skills, having proven ability to manage complex employment related issues and challenging situations, in addition to coaching and developing your team. The successful candidate must possess a sound knowledge of Road Transport Regulations and be a national CPC licence holder, ensuring that ‘O’ Licence requirements are adhered to.
