Our Family Liaison Officers are a huge part of making sure our children and young people’s needs are fully recognised and comprehensively met. Supported by a brilliant and dedicated team, you’ll work closely with parents, young people, carers and the local authority to explore the circumstances and see how collaborative, effective, life-changing resolutions can be agreed and put into place. It will also be up to you to coordinate visits to see parents, where you’ll talk at length and work out strategies for coping with whatever life throws at them. Then you’ll draw on your broad knowledge of local resources to help direct them to all the additional support they might need. Not to mention organising and taking part in admission interviews in partnership with the Head Teacher and making sure full and detailed inductions are given. One of the best environments in SEND Luxborough Court School is a brand-new, purpose-built school registered for 150 pupils aged 5 – 19 with Autistic Spectrum Disorder. There is a large sports hall with changing facilities (the site was formally a Premier League football club’s training ground), a bespoke 6th form suite plus a number of other smaller individual spaces used for therapeutic intervention and bespoke support. The School benefits from extensive outdoor space plus a large central courtyard garden in the centre of the school and separate secondary and junior playgrounds, with a multi-use games area. There are good public transport connections with Chigwell Station less than a mile away, providing Central Line Tube services to London and Essex. Desirable Attributes • Trauma-informed or therapeutic care training., • Previous involvement in Ofsted inspections., • Familiarity with multi-agency working and partnership building., • Experience in recruitment, training, or mentoring foster carers., • Experience with start-up or newly registered fostering agencies., • Knowledge of digital case management or reporting systems.
