SALARIED GP - 6 Sessions per week We are looking for a GP with excellent clinical skills to play an active role in our friendly semi‑rural practice. The practice has an approachable dynamic partnership and offers professionally rewarding working conditions centred on a patient‑centric holistic ethos. Supporting you in your role is an excellent clinical and administrative team and a highly effective management structure. • Generous annual salary & NHS pension scheme, • 39 days holiday a year (pro rata), • Free car parking, • Low visiting rate, • Personal list, • Support towards developing areas of special interests, • Fellowship scheme encouraged, • Partnered with Buckingham University (medical students), • Focus on peer support and shared learning, • Canteen on site, • Undertake consultations in all clinical settings as directed, covering the breadth of the practice’s GMS and enhanced service obligations., • Maintain good standards of clinical records at all times and work within practice policy for prescribing., • Give due regard to the Quality and Outcomes Framework (QOF) and Investment and Impact Fund (IIF)., • Check and sign prescription requests, manage patient queries and provide clinical supervision to nursing team, registrars, medical students and support for management and administrative staff., • Contribute to clinical governance, best practice, clinical audits and other improvement activities., • Participate in immunisation and vaccination programmes for individual patients in line with local and national guidelines., • Administer first aid including resuscitation if required., • Receive and refer patients when appropriate., • Understand and adhere to the policies and procedures of the practice., • Update computerised records by coding activities appropriately and using templates where appropriate., • Share a duty rota system within the clinical team, cover for colleagues and undertake extra shifts when required to meet service demands., • Other duties as required to ensure service requirements are met., • Strict confidentiality, • Judgment, resourcefulness, common sense and initiative, • Ability to work without direct supervision and determine own workload priorities, • Teamworking within an integrated multi‑skilled team, • Pleasant and articulate, • Forward thinking, • Able to work under pressure, • Eligible to practise independently as a GP in the UK, • Full GMC registration with GP registration, • Entry onto the Medical Performers List, • MRCGP, • Qualified GP trainer, • Excellent communication skills, • Experience of working within UK primary care within the last 3 years, • General understanding of the GMS contract, especially the QOF, • IT skills – word processing, spreadsheet applications, email, • Valid car driver licence, • Membership of a recognised medical indemnity organisation, • Flexibility of working hours/able to work at the desired times, • Willingness to attend occasional meetings away from the practice Applications from job seekers who require skilled worker sponsorship will be considered.
