You will have responsibility for planning, organising, delivering and supporting Youth Services provision to young people across West Lothian who have or are at risk of disengaging from education with a focus on early intervention and wide ranging, sustained support, including a fully integrated professional service to improve young people’s chances of leaving school to a positive destination and support the conditions for sustainable economic growth in West Lothian. You will have the ability to manage and coordinate a team of staff and volunteers, to deliver high-quality youth work provision relevant to the needs, interests and aspirations of young people. You will have previous experience of working with young people on issues of health and wellbeing, working with young people displaying challenging/confrontational behaviours and digital youth work provision. You will have experience of working in partnership with staff from other public and voluntary sector agencies. You will have awareness of Curriculum for Excellence, GIRFEC, and UNCRC, with experience of developing learning and education programmes with young people relevant to issues and needs.
