Your new role as a Payroll Administrator you’ll be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll for all employees, in line with statutory and contractual obligations. This role ensures employees are paid correctly and on time, while maintaining compliance with tax and employment legislation. You will work collaboratively to support all locations and departments within the business and wider group. Key Responsibilities Payroll Processing: • Prepare and process accurate payroll data for monthly pay runs., • Input and validate data related to new starters, leavers, salary changes, bonuses, overtime, and deductions., • Ensure compliance with internal controls and payroll procedures.Compliance & Reporting:, • Ensure payroll is processed in line with HMRC and statutory requirements, including RTI submissions, PAYE, NI, pensions, and other deductions., • Produce and submit reports to HMRC and pension providers as required., • Support audits and internal checks by providing accurate records and documentation.Employee Queries:, • Respond promptly and professionally to payroll-related queries from employees and managers., • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in a timely and confidential manner.Systems & Data Management:, • Maintain accurate payroll records and ensure data is securely stored in line with GDPR., • Support the development and maintenance of the payroll system, ensuring data integrity.Collaboration & Support:, • Liaise with HR, Finance, and external providers (e.g., pension providers or software vendors) to ensure smooth and integrated payroll operations., • Assist with the reconciliation of payroll accounts and month-end reporting.Process Improvement:, • Contribute to the review and improvement of payroll processes for greater efficiency and compliance., • Experience working across multiple sites and businesses., • Excellent organisational and time management skills., • Ability to work to tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy., • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal., • High level of confidentiality and integrity., • Team-oriented with a proactive and flexible approach., • Naturally proactive and solution-oriented, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. 4776803

The Role As a Payroll Administrator, you will be responsible for the end-to-end processing of payroll, ensuring all employee data is accurately maintained and that payroll activities meet both contractual and legislative obligations. You'll work closely with colleagues across HR, Finance, and other departments to provide a smooth and reliable payroll service. This position offers a hybrid working pattern, including one day per week working from home. Key Responsibilities Prepare and process payroll data accurately for multiple sites within the organisation. Input and verify information relating to starters, leavers, changes in pay, bonuses, overtime, and deductions. Ensure all payroll procedures and internal controls are adhered to. Ensure payroll is processed in line with statutory guidelines (including RTI, PAYE, NI, pensions, and other deductions). Produce required reports for relevant external bodies. Support internal audits through accurate documentation and record-keeping. Respond promptly and professionally to payroll queries from employees and managers. Investigate discrepancies and resolve issues efficiently and confidentially. Maintain secure and accurate payroll records in line with GDPR requirements. Support ongoing updates and improvements to payroll systems to ensure data accuracy and system efficiency. Work closely with HR, Finance, and external partners to support seamless payroll operations. Assist with month-end tasks and payroll account reconciliations. Identify and contribute to process improvements that increase compliance and efficiency.
