Depot Manager Salary: £40,000 Hours: Monday–Friday, 7:30am–4:30pm Benefits: Company Vehicle | 25 days holiday + Bank Holidays Our client, a leading provider of machine control and survey technology, is seeking an experienced Depot Manager to lead their Machine Control Department in Leeds. Reporting to the Regional Operations Manager, you will take full responsibility for depot performance, working with the technical support team hire & sales, service, logistics, and equipment preparation. This is a hands-on leadership role within a specialist and fast-evolving technical environment. The Role You will lead the day-to-day operations of the Machine Control department, ensuring excellent customer support, efficient service delivery, and strong commercial performance. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage the Machine Control depot team, including technical support staff, engineers, and coordinators Work with the Technical Support Team to ensure customer satisfaction and help resolve issues as they arise. Oversee preparation, configuration, testing, and calibration of machine control equipment prior to dispatch Ensure all customer enquiries and technical issues are handled promptly and professionally Coordinate installations, support visits, and resource planning for engineers and field staff Drive revenue through effective utilisation of equipment, upselling services, and managing customer subscriptions Oversee hire contracts, service activity, and billing accuracy, ensuring all chargeable elements are captured Ensure strong communication between departments including sales, logistics, accounts, and procurement Maintain high standards of customer service, building long-term relationships with clients Ensure compliance with company procedures, health & safety standards, and regulatory requirements Produce reports and track performance against operational and financial targets About You Proven experience in depot, branch, or operations management Background in machine control, survey equipment, construction technology, or plant hire preferred Strong leadership and team development skills Commercial awareness with the ability to drive revenue and control costs Strong technical understanding or ability to manage technical teams effectively Excellent communication and customer-facing skills Organised, proactive, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment Strong problem-solving ability with a structured approach What’s on Offer Competitive salary of £40,000 Company vehicle Monday–Friday working pattern 25 days holiday plus Bank Holidays Opportunity to lead a specialist, growing, and technology-driven department Next Steps If you’re interested, apply with an up-to-date CV via this advert or contact Jack at Kemp Recruitment on (phone number removed) for a confidential discussion
