Atlas NextWave are currently recruiting for a First Aid Instructor for a client based in Dyce, Aberdeen. This will be a full time role working 40 hours per week (7.30am - 4.15pm and 45 mins unpaid lunch break). Duties and Responsibilities: • To deliver courses as required in line with company and accrediting body requirements, • To support customers during course delivery as appropriate, • To participate in standardisation and continuing professional development events as required, • To provide support to trainee and existing Instructor/Assessors as appropriate, • To support department growth through technical input to new courses, training standards, customer meetings and the continual improvement of existing courses., • Demonstrate a personal commitment to Health, Safety and the Environment., • Apply company and where appropriate Client’s HSE Policies and Procedures., • Ensure that all company quality and operational procedures are always adhered to., • Maintain and embrace ownership of departmental policies and procedures. Person Spec: • Provide technical coaching / professional guidance and assist in the development of others., • Demonstrate a calm and systematic approach., • Convey information fluently, interpreting and clarifying details and explaining rationale., • Select and use the best method of communication to ensure understanding., • Use a wide range and depth of technical or specialised knowledge, providing technical leadership and expert advice to others., • Provide meaningful feedback on a regular, ongoing basis., • Demonstrate excellent organisational and time management skills., • Have the ability to cope with competing demands and to prioritise tasks Qualifications Preferred. • Medical Practitioner, General Nurse or Paramedic certification, • Valid HSE or SQA First Aid certificate, • Industry recognised Assessor qualification, • Level 3 Teaching Qualification, • IOSH Managing Safely, • Frec 3 / 4, • Mental Health First Aid Advantageous. • Previous knowledge and experience of offshore ERRV crew working conditions and have a knowledge and understanding of prehospital care.
