About to graduate and not quite sure what’s next?\n\nOr maybe you’ve thought about working in a school but don't know where to start?\n\nQuokka Education is supporting a number of well-regarded secondary schools across North Hampshire including areas such as Basingstoke, Hook, Fleet, Alton and Farnborough.\n\nWe’re looking for confident, reliable graduates to step into Cover Supervisor role son both a long term and flexible basis.\n\nNo classroom experience? That’s absolutely fine.\nWe’ll support you with training, guidance, and the chance to spend time in schools before you start, so you feel comfortable from day one.\n\nWhat the role involves\n• Delivering pre-set lesson plans\n• Keeping students engaged and focused\n• Managing behaviour in a calm, consistent way\n• Following the school’s routines and expectations\n• Feeding back to teaching staff where needed\n\nWhy this role?\n\nIf you’re considering teaching, this is one of the best ways to get a real feel for the classroom - without committing straight away.\nYou’ll build confidence, gain experience, and understand how schools really work day-to-day.\nWe can also introduce you to local teacher training routes, including salaried pathways to gain QTS.\n\nWho this role would suit\nWe’re keen to hear from graduates across a range of subjects, including:\n• English\n• Maths\n• Science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics)\n• Humanities (History, Geography, RE)\n• Sports & PE\n• Psychology or related subjects\n\nYou don’t need to be a specialist teacher - just someone who can communicate clearly, think on their feet, and build rapport with students.\n\nWhat we offer\n• Flexible work (part-time or full-time)\n• Opportunities in local schools\n• Weekly pay from £120 per day (PAYE)\n• Free training (behaviour management, SEN, safeguarding)\n• Experience and shadow days before you start\n• A people-first approach built on fairness, transparency, and support\n\nSafeguarding\nAt Quokka Education, safeguarding comes first.\nAll applicants will be vetted in line with DfE guidance, including an online search as part of the process.
