This role is at Band 7, and the current full time starting salary is £47,810, with the opportunity for pay progression to £54,710 over 5 years, dependent upon successful performance reviews and achievement of objectives. Main duties of the job You will be responsible for providing structured analysis to inform business decisions. You should be collaborative and proactive, working on a wide variety of change initiatives using a range of skills and methodologies, working with stakeholders and/or multi-functional delivery teams to deliver change, maintain our core applications and deliver new services that support the health of millions of people. You will work with internal and external stakeholders to conduct full business analysis across the change lifecycle. Supporting the appraisal of options, risks, benefits, impacts and costs; defining requirements to meet the business changes; supporting the identification of continuous operational improvement opportunities. • Use a wide range of business analysis tools and techniques., • Distil findings into an easy-to-consume format., • Identify, establish, and maintain relationships with stakeholders at all levels, constructively challenging thinking whilst maintaining rapport., • Work on complex strategic analysis, change delivery projects and continuous improvement initiatives., • Work with stakeholders to ensure that the strategic, economic, commercial, financial and management perspectives of change are considered in line with governance and process controls., • Able to demonstrate application of a wide range of business analysis tools and techniques to gather and analyse information in a complex multi-stakeholder environment, where robust analysis is key to understanding business options, • Demonstrable skills identifying, establishing, and maintaining relationships with stakeholders at all levels, • Resilient and tough minded with confidence and energy, with ability to constructively challenge thinking whilst maintaining rapport, • Self-starting and proactive, self-aware, flexible and adaptable, • Good awareness of the NHSBSA's strategy, business plans and major programmes of work, • Awareness of Government Standards for project delivery and analysis (GovS002 and GovS010), • Experience of working on complex change programmes and projects in role of Project Manager or Business Analyst, • Experience of deriving requirements specifications from strategy and business goals, including interpretation between technical and business requirements in complex environments, • Previous work in NHS or large corporate environment, • Knowledge of 5-part business cases and HMT Green Book principles, • Experience of project delivery to Government Digital Service (GDS) service standards, • Experience of Business Process Modelling Notation (BPMN), • Degree-level, or significant demonstrable work-based experience, • PRINCE2(TM) Practitioner, • APMG Agile Business Analysis Foundation & Practitioner or equivalent, • Better Business Cases(TM) Foundation or higher
