Key responsibilities: • Log calls in line with ITIL practices (Incidents, Change, Service Requests), • Allocate and update tickets appropriately, • Perform first-line triage and first-line fixes, • Respond to incoming calls and emails professionally, • Implement basic changes, • Monitor systems for alerts and take appropriate action, • Monitor application mailboxes, • Process service requests, • Produce and maintain internal and external reports, • 1–2 years’ experience in a technical support or service desk environment (or relevant placement year), • Basic technical background with a strong desire to develop, • Professional communication skills (written and verbal), • Understanding or awareness of ITIL processes, • Interest or exposure to backup and DR technologies (Rubrik, Druva, Zerto, Commvault, NetBackup advantageous), • Familiarity with VMware (vCenter, ESX, VDS, NSX) beneficial, • Exposure to Azure and/or AWS advantageous, • Basic scripting/automation knowledge (PowerShell desirable), • Strong documentation skills, • Positive attitude towards training and development
