Our client, a large social housing contractor, is seeking a qualified Domestic Electrician to work in occupied and void properties undertaking electrical fit outs. You will be responsible for replacing accessories, fault finding, consumer unit upgrades, installing fans, smoke detectors, full and partial rewiring, and Electrical Installation Condition Reports in domestic properties. Duties & Responsibilities of a Domestic Electrician: Install service and maintain electrical systems and appliances in domestic and commercial properties to a high-quality standard in accordance with the current Edition of The IET Wiring Regulations. Install, repair, inspect & test electrical installations and have the ability to fill in correctly, the appropriate Electrical Certificate for the task. Excellent customer care qualities are vital to this role. You will be expected to liaise with customers and clients daily. You will be expected to manage and order van stock which will be tailored to your requirements. Competent use of handheld PDA's is required to receive and complete job orders. PLC Engineer About the Role Were seeking an experienced PLC Control Systems Engineer (510 years) to design, program, test, and commission industrial control systems across power solutions projects. Including diesel generator controls, switchgear/ATS/AMF panels, load sharing/synchronisation, and associated HMI/SCADA interfaces. The role spans the full project lifecycle (FDS/DDS, coding, FAT/SAT, on-site commissioning), working closely with electrical design, project managers, and clients to deliver robust, safe, and maintainable systems that meet industry standards. Key Responsibilities 1) Design & Development Produce and own control system deliverables: User Requirements (URS), FDS, DDS/SDS, I/O lists, Cause & Effect, alarms, and test plans. Develop PLC/HMI/SCADA applications to internal coding standards and client specifications. Configure and integrate generator controllers (Deep Sea Electronics (DSE), ComAp, Woodward), synchronising and load-sharing schemes, ATS/AMF logic, and black - start/priority management. Interface PLCs with protection relays, meters, breakers, UPS, and BMS/EMS systems. Collaborate with electrical design for wiring schematics (e.g., EPLAN/AutoCAD Electrical) and panel build liaison. 2) Testing & Commissioning Lead FAT/SAT, I/O checks, loop testing, simulation, and site commissioning. Troubleshoot PLC, HMI/SCADA, and comms networks; implement robust fixes and design improvements. Produce handover packs, as - built software, change logs, and training for end users (O&M). 3) Documentation, Quality & Compliance Maintain version control, change management, and code libraries (e.g., Git-based workflows). Ensure compliance with functional safety and electrical standards where applicable (e.g., IEC 60204 - 1, SIL principles/IEC 61511), PUWER, and Machinery Directive/UKCA. Contribute to RAMS for site works; uphold ISO 9001 quality procedures and good engineering practice. 4) OT Networking & Cybersecurity Design and commission industrial Ethernet networks (managed switches, VLANs, NAT, routing). Implement and document secure architectures and segmentation, harden PLC/HMI/SCADA assets, and apply password/backup policies and access controls in line with best practices. Configure and troubleshoot common industrial protocols: Modbus TCP/RTU, Profinet, Profibus, EtherNet/IP, OPC UA; (nice to have: IEC 61850, DNP3). 5) Continuous Improvement & Support Mentor junior engineers, contribute to coding standards, reusable function blocks, and templates. Provide remote and on - site support, root - cause analysis, and preventive maintenance recommendations. Suggest design enhancements for reliability, maintainability, and lifecycle cost reduction. PURPOSE OF THE JOB: To ensure all environmental conditions are maintained at all times with regard to critical building systems. To carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), reactive and breakdown works to all mechanical and electrical systems within the site. Engineers must be able to demonstrate relevant knowledge of UPS, Generators, HV, PDU's, HVAC Systems, Crac units or equivalent, which will include the ability to fault find using the production of graphical information and the utilisation of current alarm data. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Ensure that Planned Preventative Maintenance & Reactive maintenance is carried out to all client assets through operation of Planned Preventative Maintenance System, and be proactive in highlighting areas where improvements can be made. These reactive calls to also include concessionary stores and fabric related items. Ensure that accurate and comprehensive records are kept pertaining to Health & Safety, Building Compliance and Quality Assurance. Ensure that sub-contractors perform to meet the requirement of the contract. Administer sub-contractor work approvals and safe operation while repair or service is carried out on site. To operate a Permit to Work System in accordance with CBRE Quality, Health & Safety procedures and client requirements (or approved client system). Ensure that plant faults and defects are swiftly remedied to maintain plant in serviceable order at all times. Ensure that suitable spares are available to carry out both maintenance and reactive works. To provide parts lists and estimated timescales to carry out remedial works. Overview the buildings environmental conditions using the BMS System and utilise same to maintain acceptable internal conditions. Ensure that Method Statements and Risk Assessments are prepared, reviewed and utilised for all tasks (PPM's and reactive) carried out to ensure safe working practices. To maintain & develop good client relationships. Ensure the provision of a Safe and Healthy working environment. To include the wearing of uniform and PPE at all times. Ensure a professional image of CBRE is presented to clients and visitors. Ensure assigned tasks are actioned and completed as appropriate.
